This cute writer's cabin is snug all year round and set in the heart of Pembrokeshire so easy to get to both coasts and all the best beaches. Set down its own track you'll have privacy and amazing views, plus hammock, a veranda and woodburners! WIFI
Stay in my traditional Pembrokeshire 'tin' cottage and explore one of the most beautiful areas of Great Britain.
What's included? Basically just bring yourselves, and food and drink. The bed is made ready for you with 100% cotton linen, towels & teatowels provided, fresh dishcloth every time (and washing up liquid, and liquid soap, and first few toilet rolls). First basket of logs (and kindling, paper, matches) for the woodburner. The kitchen is equipped. All you need is to relax, get out on the veranda with your drink of choice, and soak in the huge open view.
You can easily access the beaches on the South or West coasts of Pembrokeshire, walk the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park footpath or walk from the door to Llys Y Fran country park (lake). You can hire a bike at the country park or enjoy the cafe. See the beaches at Tenby, the foodie shops at nearby Narberth or beautiful St Davids.
The cottage is very well insulated and heated by two woodburners and also electric heaters in every room. There is a shower in the bathroom.
You get the whole cottage, pivately situated down a track with big open views of the Pembrokeshire countryside. The cottage, newly renovated with new tin, insulated, double glazing on the 1920s windows etc, and two woodburners (one inside, one on the veranda) as well as a small kitchen and shower room.
The bedroom has one double bed and a hammock on the veranda for summer evenings.
Nearby you'll find small market towns, good restaurants, great walking and the country park at Llys Y Fran just a couple of fields away. You can walk to an off-road 4x4 centre for a fun day out. Signed footpaths start on the edge of your field.
This is a great location for dogs - you've a couple of acres of enclosed land away from any roads.
Nearest train station is Clarbeston Road (6 miles).
Hairdryer included. WIFI is available and there is mobile phone signal on 3, 02, EE, Orange, T-mobile, Vodaphone - we haven't tried others but probably all networks fine.
You get the self-contained cabin/cottage to yourselves, entirely self-contained and private.
Shared use of a two acre field with one other property (not always occupied).
Interaction with Guests
I live abroad and have a local housekeeper who manages the property - very private setup, with keysafe entry etc so late arrival is OK. Nobody to hassle you :) The property manager and housekeeper live locally if required.
This is the one of the finest landscapes in the UK, and the least-spoiled. If you haven't been here before you'll be amazed by the beaches, warmed by the local welcome, and relaxed by the laid-back feeling. It really is an amazing area, and if I ever choose to move back to the UK there's only one place I'd consider - right here.

Other Things to Note
I'll consider longterm let to writers - I've written a novel here myself, and other work, and its perfect for it!
No smoking inside thanks - you have a veranda outside for this.
No pets on the bed or sofa thanks and thanks for cleaning any dog mess. I don't currently charge for pets as I know most owners are careful (I'm a dog owner myself).
This was our second visit to the cabin and we loved it just as much as the first time.
It is such a comfortable and relaxing space in a beautiful part of the world. We brought our dog with us both times and she loved the beachy walks and being able to curl up in her bed near the fire.
Lovely place Greg love the decor and location was perfect.
Really appreciated the helpful instructions from Greg re how to get there - we would have been lost without it! We had a wonderful time at the writer's cabin for a short getaway. The cabin itself was very thoughtfully put together, cosy and had everything we needed. It was a cold and stormy weekend for the most part, but the cabin was really warm and cosy, and I can't think of a better place to weather a storm. The wood burner out on the patio was a really nice feature, and we made the most of it on the first night when the weather was a little better. The location is great - near some lovely little villages and also close enough to get to the coast with just a short drive. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be visiting Pembrokeshire again.
A lovely cabin, tastefully decorated and cosy.
Good area for relaxing and for visiting many pretty villages and heritage (website hidden) David's is a must.
The writers' cabin was a gorgeous, clean and comfortable retreat in a private and peaceful countryside location.
Our stay was relaxing, filled with invigorating walks on local beaches (about 30 mins drive North, West or South- spoilt for choice!) and finished off with cozy evenings watching the wood burning stove.
The cabin itself is decorated beautifully, is designed to suit the natural setting perfectly and has plenty of space for two adults and a furry friend (we brought our Border terrier with us). It is very generous and trusting to be allowed to bring a pet and we very much appreciated the opportunity to do so; our dog loved it!
We also enjoyed the eco aspect of the cabin, encouraging recycling and water/energy conservation really added to the feeling of being at one with the countryside.
Surprising benefits included some traditional games such as 'jenga' and playing cards, the lack of TV set and the neighbouring cows for company. They all added to the charm.
We absolutely adored our 3 night stay and wish we could have booked the whole week.
A lovely cabin in a quiet rural setting. It was everything we had expected. Cosy, comfortable, tastefully decorated and unique. Highly recommendable!
It was lovely to have the fire already laid in the wood burner, when we arrived. The cabin was very clean and quaintly decorated.
The sunsets from the verandah were spectacular and the night sky so starry. We also enjoyed the flocks of geese flying to and from the reservoir every day.
This was a great place for a quiet break somewhere peaceful and private. The central location made it easy to get to some wonderful beaches. Thanks to Greg for making it so pleasant and easy to book.
