Leticia is a great hostess. She was very helpful to us in navigating the parking in the city. The room was great for our needs and the location worked well for our visit with our daughter. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful.
Leticia was an absolute wonderful host! All the extra amenities added a much appreciated personal touch. After a long day of walking around USF, UCSF, and Golden Gate Park (all close by) my best friend and I came home to a bottle of red wine to relax with before we set out for dinner. The accommodations were perfect: a queen bed, a futon for an extra guest, clean towels, and plenty of blankets just in case. I would for sure recommend this place to anyone who wants to get the experience of being a local. However, if you're from abroad I'm sure you'll do just fine as well since Leticia provides resources to help you embark on your journey and is always just a phone call or text away. We personally walked and took the bus lines everywhere! We especially loved looking at the maps to see how far people have traveled from. It was a perfect stay, and I'm sure yours would be too.
Leticia and her family made us feel very welcome. The retreat is quiet, immaculate and very comfortable. It is also very secure. We had everything we needed and more. The area is safe and quiet, the transport options are fantastic and there are plenty of places to eat and visit within walking distance. In a nutshell, we felt as if we were coming back to home each night after our sightseeing, and we couldn't have asked for better than that. Having the Golden Gate Park so close is just perfect for nature lovers, and we managed a few visits there to rejuvenate after being in the city. We hope to come back and stay here again some day, it is just an ideal spot. Thank you for everything!
Leticia was amazing - greeted me at the door and gave me a brief tour of the space. House was very comfortable and had lots of 'homey' touches. Beautiful neighborhood. Great place to spend a week in the city!
This was my first airbnb experience and it was fantastic! The space is cozy and comfy- an excellent place to unwind after a long day of sight seeing! I appreciated all the features of the space including the touching accommodations such as granola and coffee!
My stay at the Golden Gate retreat couldn't have better! I was truly struck by the tiny details that made my stay the best--yogurt in the fridge for breakfast, great shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower, good variety of guidebooks to pour over. Leticia was a very generous host and very willing to share her knowledge of this wonderful city. I loved my stay and would recommend it to others!
Leticia and her family made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. We had a great experience and felt safe and comfortable staying at her place. We absolutely loved the neighborhood and the local restaurants, but most of all the close distance to Golden Gate Park.
We are a family of four with two boys, 17 and 11. We enjoy traveling, but also the activities our neighborhood, city, and region provide. These include beach walks, Bay swimming, surfing, snowboarding, attending sports events (GO GIANTS!), and visiting museums. Before the advent of Airbnb, we hosted exchange students from France, Spain, and Paraguay, and hosted guests from North Africa, along with family from other parts of the U.S. and Mexico. We love cooking (and eating). We can help you find the best food from fine-dining, to hip dining, to casual comfy to food trucks. We love a broad range of music, and we can steer you in the direction of live music offerings. (If you are present during a San Francisco "Sunday Streets" event, you might catch our son's band in the act.) We see it as our obligation to be present when you need us, and (nearly) invisible when you do not. One of us is fluent in Spanish, the other is functional in Spanish and French.
