The space
This one bedroom apartment with a king size bed is on the first floor. 5 steps up the front porch to your own front door entrance. Comfortable for one or two guests, a third guest is too many. No children under 12 please.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, sharp knives, cutting board, bakeware, coffeemaker, hand mixer, blender and nearly any other kitchen gadget you might want. There are spices, coffee and a selection of easy things to eat in the kitchen. Help yourself to whatever you find, it's there for our guests.

Laundry access can be arranged ONLY for stays longer than 2 weeks

You can walk to the grocery store, restaurants and our brand new public library. The grocery store has a State Liquor Agency inside. In Ohio, beer and wine are sold at regular grocery stores and convenience retailers but liquor is sold only at State Liquor Agencies.

St. Bernard is a small village enveloped completely by the City of Cincinnati. It's the founding location of Proctor & Gamble. The canal park alongside our house is a former waterway canal network which went from up by the Great Lakes, all the way to the Ohio River. The Miami Erie Canal provided primary distribution for P&G goods to the mighty Ohio River in the late 1800s & early 1900s. We have Canal Art in the dining room.

I used to walk the Canal Park Greenspace as a child to visit my grandmother. You'll see her house up on your left at the end of the greenway. Keep walking and you'll find soccer fields and a children's playground at the far end down the park road. It's about a mile all the way down and back.

If you are looking for two, three or four full bedrooms for your stay, take a look at our other listings under my host profile. All 6 of our Airbnbs a just few blocks from each other.

Guest access
We have a keyless entry which makes checkin 100% flexible to your schedule!

Laundry access can be arranged ONLY for stays longer than 2 weeks

You will have the entire 875 square foot apartment.

Other things to note
My husband, Alan and I are designers and run our own company. We also drive Lyft & Uber for fun and to supplement college tuition money for our three boys. It has been surprising to us natives of the area how driving has brought us to know Cincinnati like we’ve never known before! Please do not hesitate to reach out for recommendations. Being a graphic designer, for my “real” job, I’ve put together maps highlighting a handful of our favorite places in both our neighborhood and the Downtown/OTR areas. We'll leave maps along with other local info in our guest info folder. I’ve built a website featuring my maps and hot links to all of our Airbnb listings to help guests. Visit AirbnbCincinnati along with the most common suffix in your browser. (Airbnb blocks web addresses entered in these descriptions that's why I'm piecing the info together)

We truly love Cincinnati. I was born in this wonderful St. Bernard community. My husband and I met while studying Design at the University of Cincinnati. We began our family in this little Cincinnati community of St. Bernard. We sincerely want to be great hosts and invisible unless you need us. We're honored to host you and hope you truly enjoy our little bungalow and our neighborhood!

My work: Graphic Designer
Vivacious Vicky is what "they" call me and it pretty much tells the whole story. I am passionate, give 110% to everything and sincerely enjoy hosting our guests. My husband and I stumbled upon hosting in 2016 and are shocked to now focus the majority of our energy creating spaces and comfort for our guests. We really are tickled you have chosen to be our guests. We have multiple Airbnbs but we are not a corporate type anonymous host. This is our favorite job EVER. We don't hire housecleaners, we do all the hands on details of hosting, decorating and most property maintenance. The most recent home we acquired was built in 1913. We gutted and remodeled the bathrooms and kitchens ourselves. It's satisfying work and we love sharing the results with our guests. Stats: Mother of three boys and three rescued dogs, Graphic Designer, Entrepreneur, Uber Driver, Model, Actor, Seamstress, Vice-Mayor, Student of Pilates, AirBnB hostess... this list will have no end :-)
