The riad was not what we expected at all. It was such a lovely little riad that had a very cozy feeling to it. We felt comfortable the whole time we were there and the hospitality of Abdel and Mohammad were wonderful. They helped us with any problems or questions we had. The rooftop lounge was beautiful and the simple breakfast was also quite lovely. A short walk from the plaza and the medina, I will definitely be staying here again if I return to Marrakech.
A lovely welcome to this beautiful riad in the heart of the medina. Very comfortable room and close to the souks nothing was too much trouble. Transfers were arranged through Abdel and this saved lots of hassle. We also had a hamam and a massage there which was really good. Highly recommended, although if you have small crying children, you will keep everyone else up!
The Riad was very nice and although we were there in the middle of February, it was quite warm inside (which doesn't happen too often, as we learned later on). The rooftop terrace is amazing in summer I guess - due to the temperatures we couldn't really use it.
Just make sure to ask for the specific name of the riad, otherwise it is really hard to find.
Leila is an absolute superstar.
Without her our trip to Marrakech would not have been anywhere as special. On hand from the moment we booked, Leila gave us so many tips and recommendations that were all absolutely spot on. We visited a hammam, ate in a fantastic restaurant and were looked after incredibly well on a day trip to the Ourika Valley. She even told us were to change money to get the best rates.
Not only does Leila have invaluable knowledge about Marrakech that she is more than willing to share, but she is also a wonderful host and the Riad itself was brilliant. The staff are incredibly attentive, warm and friendly and make you feel really at home. The food they serve is also excellent.
To put it simply- you couldn't ask for much more from a host and I would definitely recommend to anyone that they stay with Leila if they are visiting Marrakech.
Thank you John!! We are honoured by your review and appreciate your comments. It is always a pleasure to steer our guests towards experiencing the wonderful character and charm of Marrakech with so many of its jewels not so obvious to the passing visitor, they only need highlighting and so it is always wonderful to hear when the city and its people are encountered and appreciated in such a positive way as you have been able to. Do come back! Leila :-)
The Riad is of a high standard and very charming. The staff are very courteous and helpful. My partner and I enjoyed staying here and recommend the Riad as a great base in the centre of the Medina.
