Great service and perfect location.
We had a fantastic time in Marrakesh staying here. I can't emphasise enough what a perfect location it is in - a short distance (5 mins or so) to the main square and right next to the souks as well as to some of the attractions to the south of the Medina (though make sure to memorise the way to the Riad). In that regard alone it's well worth staying at instead of ones where the walk is more like 20mins from the square. It was very welcome having a short walk home after a day's walking around (or just going back quickly before dinner) and it is also very calm inside with a nice rooftop terrace (on which a nice breakfast is served).
The guys that run the riad day-to-day (Mohammed and Abdel) were an absolute pleasure to talk to and get tips from on where to go in Marrakesh and beyond. They're quick to respond and efficiently get things sorted.
All the extra services made our stay thoroughly enjoyable - the dinner was delicious, the hammam great and the taxi service much more relaxing than finding one at the airport.
The rooms themselves are just right - each with its individual charm and Moroccan style. Not too big but they don't need to be nor is it too cramped. The wifi worked just fine in the courtyard but didn't always reach the room.
In short I'll be recommending this to anyone going to visit Marrakesh.
Laisse à désirer
I am puzzled to read your review! You did not let my colleague Abdel know when you would arrive so he had no idea when you would be there. You were given your room on arrival. Abdel arrived 2 hours after you arrived and he apologised for not being there to welcome you and he explained he did not know what time you were to arrive, which apparantly you did not accept.
You enquired about a day trip and my colleague explained in detail all about it and organised it for you as well as the quad bike and you told him, when he enquired that it was good.
For the internet you did not make any comment or inquiry.
Abdel organised the airport transfer for your departure for you but you were 1 hour late and both Abdel and the driver waited for you. Abdel walked you to the meeting point and left immediately as he had another apointment to which he was late because of you.
SO WE REALLY DO NOT THINK YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT
Perhaps you could be a little more considerate of your hosts next time and not so busy criticising them for no valid reasons.
Mohamed made sure someone was there to pick us up, and even had dinner waiting for us. The room was exactly as described in the photos--beautiful. Everything was very clean. Would happily stay there again.
The riad was not what we expected at all. It was such a lovely little riad that had a very cozy feeling to it. We felt comfortable the whole time we were there and the hospitality of Abdel and Mohammad were wonderful. They helped us with any problems or questions we had. The rooftop lounge was beautiful and the simple breakfast was also quite lovely. A short walk from the plaza and the medina, I will definitely be staying here again if I return to Marrakech.
The Riad is nice, rooms, terrace, everything is beautiful. But the problem we had with the adress was a little bit stressing.
Once we did pay, we didnt receive the real adress of the riad, just an email to contact to somebody else to get more info about airport pick ups, etc. Then, we went to Marrakech with the wrong adress, and we had to go around, asking, and payiing to every guy helping us. Also we tried to contact to the phone number we had in the info, no luck with that.
Please, once we pay, next time, send us the real contact data and the real adress.
A lovely welcome to this beautiful riad in the heart of the medina. Very comfortable room and close to the souks nothing was too much trouble. Transfers were arranged through Abdel and this saved lots of hassle. We also had a hamam and a massage there which was really good. Highly recommended, although if you have small crying children, you will keep everyone else up!
