Really lovely riad in a great location. We were made to feel very welcome with mint tea served on arrival. Our airport transfer was also very easy and we were guided the short walk to the riad with our suitcase carried. It is hidden amongst the streets of the medina, like many others, but wasn't difficult to find and was in a great location. The room was very clean and the ensuite bathroom very nice. It was small but there was plenty of storage space and enough room. There is also lots of nice spaces to relax in the alcoves around the building or on the roof terrace. Breakfast was really nice and included fresh juice, yogurt, bread and traditional cooked breads with jam and coffee. Also amazing how quiet it was when the busy street is so close! The small pool was also welcome when we needed to cool off!
Great location, very close to the square. The food that Samira (the Riad's chef) cooked for us was hands down the best food we had in Morocco. Breakfast, which is served on the rooftop terrace, was also delicious.
Great little spot to stay. Very close to the square and right in the Souks. The rooms are small but really clean and nicely decorated. The staff were also very helpful arranging transfers and generally looking after us. Would definitely recommend. Also the roof is a great little sanctuary after a day in crazy Marrakech!
Quel riad charmant et bien situé! Après la vie mouvementée dans la médina, quel bonheur de nous retrouver dans ce riad paisible, bien entretenu et confortable. Un riad que nous vous recommandons!!!!
Thanks for a really lovely welcome. For the price it was exceptional value. Mohammed did a great job in aiming to make us feel welcome. The sheets were clean, the bathroom great (fab shower) and room spotless. Air conditioning was critical (40 plus degrees) and worked. The continental breakfast was plentiful and the dinner (yes I agree with the previous comments. There is only one dinner on offer and that was a bit odd. A menu is not a menu with one choice!). So. Really excellent. I just found the location the biggest issue. Yes it was Ramadan and yes super hot but we felt really uncomfortable navigating the alleyways "home". Sorry. Once in the door we brushed a sigh of relief and only wished there were more facilities - a small roof top plunge pool. More food and service. A bit more style and ambience. Then Leila would have a cracker. However all in all really brilliant value. Thank you.
Thank you Clare, it was a pleasure to have you stay at the riad.
Regarding the dinner, we are not a restauraunt so we do not offer a menu to choose from but we do aim to satisfy guests by offering a meal of a typical Morrocan dish, abundant, fresh and well prepared and presented in true local style.
The plunge pool is not possible on the roof architecturally and also it would be far too hot in the heat of summer months so we have it conveniently in the courtyard.
The riad is located in a very safe area; alleyways are a characteristic of the Medina, being the oldest most authentic part of Marrakech space is somewhat limited to pedestrian passage.
We have opted for a homely style and ambience of local authencity rather than go for the European style boutique riad.
We do hope to see you again.
