Wonderful stay in this Riad. Mohammad and Mustapha were welcoming, friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange an airport transfer, ourika valley day trip and our supra tours bus to Essaouira, and answered countless other questions about Marrakesh and Morocco. Room was as-advertised; clean and comfortable and remarkably quiet considering all the action in Marrakesh. Still some noise from birds and cats, as is to be expected anywhere in the city. Breakfast was great. All around an exceptional value.

This is a review of Riad, as this host appears to have multiple properties that she manages. You will not meet her, however, but the team that manages the Riad. This is a very nice Riad in a quiet part of the Medina. I would have found it very difficult to find it on my own and I would not recommend walking down the medina with your belongings because it makes you an obvious target. So you are better off pay the 15 Euro pick-up transfer from the train or airport. Our driver was waiting there, picked us up in a big car, and drove to a meeting point where Abdel, who manages the Riad, was waiting to walk us to the Riad. From the Riad to the main Jemmaa el-Fna square, it really is a 3 minute walk and with just a few landmarks, it's easy to navigate those streets in the medina. We felt relatively safe doing this, definitely safer than our experience in other medinas (e.g. Fes). Rooms sizes are just enough, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was great. They have soap and shampoo. The Wifi does NOT make it inside the rooms upstairs or to the terrace, so if this is important to you, then you should not stay here. The wifi works fine when you leave your room and sit in the common areas. Breakfast was great every morning and can be served wherever you want it (terrace, common areas, etc.). The Riad has a small swimming pool with very cold water, which was great to jump in after walking in the sweltering heat. The terrace also has a shower and lounge chairs, and we actually spent time relaxing there. It is so quiet and private. The staff was all great. We had a very early flight out of Marrakesh and one of the members escorted us to the meeting point with cab at 4 in the morning. Overall, we highly recommend this place.

Response from Leila:
Firstly I would like to say that visitors to our Riad are 100% safe walking down the street with their belongings. It can be daunting on arrival dealing with the maze of streets and bustle of the souk (market) and amount of people on the main street that leads to the riad and that is why we recommend a transfer from the airport or train/bus station on first arrival. It was unfortunate that I did not get to meet you Brett during your stay but I was not in Marrakech nevertheless it is incorrect to say future guests will not meet me, this you do not know! We are happy to hear you enjoyed the riad and were able to relax here. Thank you for choosing to stay with us.

I could not have felt more welcomed by the staff at Riad. Upon arrival I was treated extremely well and everyone was extremely helpful in organizing meals and trips. Any questions I had about culture, history, etc. were all answered. I could not have asked for a better first experience in Morocco.

The riad was beautiful, a true sanctuary from the craziness of the square, however not a long walk to the square, souks, and monuments. Mohammed was extremely helpful and kind. Also dinner in the riad our first night was delicious!

I had an amazing stay. I was met by someone from the hotel on the road where the driver that they coordinated from me at the airport was dropping me off as you can't drive any closer. The walk is twisty and windy and can be intimidating at first but is actually quite short and easy once you get the hang of it. Abdel and Muhammed the managers were great. Muhammed was so very helpful with all of my needs. The riad is very cute and has a nice rooftop to eat at. The lemon tagine was delicious. My room was exactly as pictured, very cute and very clean. Even though i left to another Riad as they were already booked up, Abdel scheduled a desert excursion for me that still picked me up from my new Riad as well as arranged transport for me to my new place as I was unsure how to get there with my luggage. You get exactly what you see and I would highly recommend! It's located really close to the souks and an easy walk to the big square as its centrally located. Again highly recommended!
