Interaction with Guests
I live in the same building, therefore I will be available for any help needed with the apartment. I can also provide tips and guidelines on what to see in Athens and how to best get around town!
I love the fact that there is still a neighborly vibe, people will say good morning to you on your way out. There are all sorts of shops in the area, such as a mini-market, a bakery, a fruit stand, a barber shop, some cafes. But what I like most about it is the fact that the apartment is so close to the forested campus of the University of Athens, you can easily hike up to Ymittos mountain for a breath of fresh air!
The bus stop is a one minute walk from the apartment. Two bus lines (220 & 221) pass by every 5 or 10 minutes, that go into the center of Athens.
Guests can get to the apartment from the airport by taking the metro, getting off at Evangelismos metro station and hopping on the 220 or 221 bus - that's it. More instructions provided upon booking.
Smoking is not allowed in the apartment, only outside on the balcony.
Please throw out your trash before checking out.

Staying at Alex's studio was an amazing experience! The studio is really nice and cozy. It has everything you may need (electric oven, microwave oven, big fridge, washing machine, huge closet for your clothes, speedy wi-fi connection and many more things that will make your stay great). The bed is excellent. Also bathroom is beautiful.
The neighbourhood is ideal, very peaceful with a large park nearby, many shops and markets, and a bus station if you want to go to the city center.
Alex is an exceptional host, very professional, kind and always willing to help (he even gave me his own iron and ironing board for half a month!).
I felt like home for 17 days and I can't wait to stay there again!
So cozy and comfortable flat. I felt myself at home. Near you'll can find what you need - minimarket, large park, beautiful church, small cafe. Alex very friendly owner, he helped with my laptop and showed something interesting exhibitions in Athens.
Alex is a great host who was willing to help. The studio is perfect had everything you would need and located in a very quiet area.
It was so nice to stay there inAlex appartment. I rally recommend that flat.
We had a great time in Athens, courtesy of Alex's charming and affordable studio--Zografou is a bit out of the way, but the bus is very convenient and you get to see a good amount of the non-guide-booked city. Alex was very interesting, outgoing, and helpful, and it was a pleasure to get to know him. If you're looking for a small home base during your travels and want to see a bit more of the lived-in Athens, this is the spot for you. I definitely recommend!
The studio was pretty much as shown in the pictures: cozy, neat, modern... Easy to clean and quite comfortable, and in a good neighborhood. Not in the middle of Athens, right, but by bus you can go pretty much everywhere in just a few minutes.
Also, Alex was a great host -friendly, helpful, kind... I liked it at his place, and I would totally recommend it.
I'm a native New Yorker with a California drawl, living in Athens for quite some time now. I'm heavily into music and a proud owner of an extended vinyl record collection. I also enjoy the occasional dinner and a movie. Favorite films? Too many to mention, but I'll list the first few that come to mind: The Big Lebowski, Raging Bull, Dandelion, You Can Count On Me, Lost In Translation, Annie Hall. My favourite book is Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. I'll also read anything by Paul Auster, Thomas Pynchon or Raymond Carver.
