Ayleen arrived with clean towels, candles, and good cheer on our first evening. She also brought a big, furry, four-legged friend to snuggle with. She filled us in on all the fun things to do around town. We really enjoyed meeting her and staying in her comfy apartment.
Ayleen was a very attentive host.
The apartment (next door to the other one we rented) was exactly as described.
The location of these two apartments was also great. It was so nice that our whole family(2kids and 6 adults) fit nicely in the spaces.
Aileen was a good host, she accommodated us late in the night.
We rented both apartments (4851 and 4853) for five nights and they were perfect. Beautiful hardwood floors, tastefully furnished, very comfortable beds, adequately equipped kitchens, and lovely backyard section (connecting both apartments – but with enough privacy for each) with a table and chairs... good light and a wonderful overall artsy feel. we had a wonderful time. The street is quiet, free parking is easy to find nearby, and Ayleen is both available/helpful and discreet. We would not hesitate to stay here again! We were six people (three in each apartment), but each apartment comfortable houses two couples and an extra person who can sleep on the comfortable living room couch or on an extra mattress which is stored in the cupboard. Just bear in mind that the two couples are in the same room divided by a curtain. There is a bakery down the road and the wonderful Avenue de Mont-Royal with shops (record store, pharmacy, bank, groceries) is a three minute walk away. A lovely find in every way! Thanks Ayleen!
Our stay at the "Charming Plateau" was perfect for our purposes. We have 3 kids, including a four year old. Ayleen's apartment was kid friendly. No breakables or glass tables to worry about and the kids liked flopping on the big low- to -the -ground beds (2 of them). There was a couch in living room that could act as a single bed too but all 5 of us piled in the 2 beds. The two bedrooms were separated by a curtain. Washer / dryer were very helpful. Apartment is not hotel like - the atmosphere was earthy and comfy with a lot of salvaged wood in construction which gave it charm. We loved the neighborhood and just spent day enjoying local festival and walking in park. We need to come prepared with kids bikes next time because bike lane leading to park was outside our door and it is a biker's dream. Great pastry shop in walking distance. Overall we found the place a relaxing refuge - and we felt like part of the neighborhood for a day! We would love to come back sometime for a longer stay.
