Welcome to the Shake Shack (affectionately named for one of our favorite NYC haunts), your very own studio apartment, complete with full bath, washer/dryer, mini-kitchen (no stove or oven), and ample closet space. This white-plank floored, one-room beauty is the guest house to our historic Hillcrest home. With a vaulted ceiling, cozy front porch, WiFi, and its own HVAC system, the Shake Shack is the perfect space for a couple, small family, travel nurse, or graduate student, who prefers a personal space over a standard hotel room.
Expect a warm welcome from your hosts and friendly pups. Because the Shake Shack is in our backyard, we look forward to meeting guests and sharing the charms of our favorite Little Rock neighborhood, Hillcrest.
The tree-shaded backyard is a great place to kick back and have a cocktail upon arrival. Wide streets, 100 year old oaks and maples, friendly shopkeepers along Kavanaugh Boulevard, expansive Allsopp Park, and a robust restaurant scene are just a few reasons you'll want to call Hillcrest home. The Shake Shack's central location makes it a snap to get downtown (5 minutes) to local hospitals such as Arkansas Children's (6 minutes), UAMS (3 minutes), and St. Vincent (5 minutes), and great shopping in the Heights (7 minutes).
Sites such as the Clinton Presidential Center, Museum of Discovery, Arkansas Arts Center, the River Market District, Little Rock Central High, Heifer International Village, the Big Dam Bridge, Two Rivers Park, and Pinnacle State Park are all within minutes of the Shake Shack.
There is an antique four-poster bed (oversized full) that can accommodate two people. We also make a queen-sized air mattress and cozy sheets available to guests who request it. The kitchenette in the Shake Shack has a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, and a griddler all available for your use. Please note there is not an oven or stove on site.
We look forward to welcoming you and sharing the charms of Little Rock during your next visit!
As hosts, we will be there to greet you at the Shake Shack, give you an orientation for the property and the neighborhood. We live on the property, so we will be around to answer any questions during your stay.
Taxi service is easy to come by in Hillcrest.
CAT (Central Arkansas Transit) has several bus lines that run from our neighborhood to the downtown area and all if its amenities.

Brooke's place was on a beautiful tree-lined street and very conveniently located to many great spots. We enjoyed the city of Little Rock very much and will stay with Brooke again if we return!
This lil bungalow is adorable and Brooke and her husband were very friendly, helpful, and full of great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Bed was super comfy! One night the cutest, biggest, fluffiest dog came to our front door for a visit :-) We had great weather in little rock and had lots of fun exploring.
The Shake Shack is a lovely little spot close to downtown and in a wonderful neighborhood of Little Rock. Brooke was really helpful and quick to reply. So nice to find a place that is pet friendly, quiet, private, and in a tree filled setting, all in the city!
Brooke was very accommodating with our stay. Arkansas had some crazy cold weather and a pipe froze in our room, but Brooke was so hospitable as to let us use her own bathroom! She also had the problem fixed ASAP and left us a nice little snack. The sweetest host in Little Rock! Do stay with her!
Nice house, nice neighborhood, nice folks! I booked the Shake Shack for 6 nights over Christmas for my parents. They both had a great time and said they would definitely stay there again next time they are in town. They especially liked the historic neighborhood, which was close to downtown, but still felt like a getaway. Brooke and her husband were very welcoming and accommodating. We forgot the key at check-in but they were happy to let us in and provide a spare. They were also very easy to get in touch with, which was nice.
I would definitely recommend the Shake Shack if you are looking for a place to put up friends or family, or simply want to visit Little Rock and stay in one of its most charming residential areas.
