Staying with Laura and her lovely family was a real pleasure. Laura is warm and approachable and great to chat with. I felt very welcome and I really appreciated Laura's thoughtfulness and attention to detail. The bed is very comfy and the yummy breakfast really made a difference. Great way the see the quieter, pretty parts of Auckland!
My husband and I had a very comfortable 6 night stay at Laura, Ross and Elsie's place. The room was bright and spacious with fun extras like Apple TV and an electric kettle for making tea in the room. Laura provided genuine, helpful advice for our trip around Auckland and the rest of NZ. I especially enjoyed the bathtub and provided toiletries in the private bathroom. Also Daisy the dog is a sweetheart - possibly the most perfect dog we've ever encountered! This was a sincerely generous and kind-hearted household in a great location. We highly recommend.
We had a great time in Aukland mainly due to Laura’s family and their Airbnb in Ponsonby.
The house is near the trendy Ponsonby Road, where you can find a lot of nice boutiques, cafés, places to eat and one excellent restaurant. Grey Linn Park which is just around the corner is great for jogging and we enjoyed the walk through it to the centre of Aukland every day. If you don’t feel like walking, you can take the bus which is only a few minutes away.
The guestroom has got a lot of light, a nice view and is very quiet. The bed is very comfortable and we had our own very nicely furnished bathroom. Everything is carefully maintained, very clean and not only the oil for the body in the bathroom is handmade by Laura. Also the very delicious Müsli in the morning is homemade and the breakfast anyway is great and strengthens healthily for the whole day.
Laura and her family are very hospitable and we felt really welcomed. Laura takes her time to make you feel as comfortable as possible. She is helpful and has got a lot of tips not only for Aukland but also for your journey through New Zealand. Our talks in the morning were so pleasant and they could have go on and on... Daisy dog, Elsie the daughter, Russ and last but not least, Laura, are unforgettable and we are very thankful to have discovered this spot in Aukland. We would come back anytime and we highly recommend this place.
Staying with Laura and her family was great. This was our first time staying in a private room in someone's home, and it was a great first experience. Laura and her family were very welcoming and friendly. Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. She provided nice soaps and shampoo in the bathroom, which is always nice. The entire family was very hospitable and ensured all of our needs were met. Laura gave us some very good advice on places to eat in the area, and things to do in and around Auckland. She even gave us advice for our trip to Melbourne Australia. Thank you Laura for welcoming us into your home! We appreciate your hospitality!
Laura and her family were perfect host. The house were beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was great, the yogurt and fruits were yummy! Laura always give me fantastic suggestions . Read Laura's personal guide book , you will find the top restaurants and amazing cafe! Love their
taste about life and food. Highly recommend and definitely come back again.
All the best wishes !
We loved our stay with Laura and her family in Auckland. Everything was as we expected and extra special thanks to Laura for not being phased by our 2am arrival and arranging a shuttle bus from and to the airport for us. Ross' muesli was a special breakfast treat and the house was in a quiet, attractive residential area.
It's a reasonably short walk to Ponsonby Road shops and cafes and if you are feeling very fit you can walk into the centre but there are a few hills and there are half hourly buses from the end of the road.
Daisy the friendly dog is always there to welcome you back as well. Highly recommended
