Julia was a great host and our savior, as our previous Airbnb was cancelled 4 days before arrival! she reacted directly to our request and it was very easy communication during the whole trip. The place was great and very light. It is a very spacious room with all equipment you need. The Loft is easy to climb and the beds where comfy. The bathroom was very clean and there was a nice smell in the apartment! There where a lot of plants, which I personally really like. The location of the apartment is very cool, multicultural and cute. There where some amazing restaurants and bars right around the corner. Underground 2 streets away and the neighbours where super friendly. I would definitely, without a doubt, recommend this place to others. If I would visit again I would not look for something else and ask Julia directly to stay again at her place. Thanks Julia! Ps: Let us know whenever you will visit Berlin again.

Our stay at Julia & Gregory's Apt was such a blessing in disguise! Originally our previous host cancelled a day before our arrival, which led me to an automatic panic. I searched a few listing and no one replied because it was so last minute. THANKFULLY, I found Gregory's listing & he responded so QUICKLY. He was able to accommodate me and my bf literally a day before arrival. I can't tell you how thankful we are to have come across this place. This brooklyn style loft is everything you see pictured: lots of plants & open lighting. I've never stayed at a place so unique, with so much character. Every nook & cranny of the apt is different, and so interesting to look at. You can see how passionate he is about his craft (homeade desks/kitchen cabinets/counters etc) and how creative he is. His mother Alla helped checked us in. Everything you need is there: extra towels, shampoo, etc. I do have to add he has amazing speakers. There are no connecting walls so it was fun to play music while getting ready for the day. He has a Brita filter pitcher for water, which was very convenient. The A/C is next to the kitchen, it doesn't reach too far but kept half of the apt cool. It gets really hot at night but we just had the large fan facing us which easily fixed the problem. The subway stations aren't too close (I'm not very athletic so it was a bit of a walk for me LOL), about 3-5 blocks away. If you are a natural walker, then ignore me. It also is about 2 trains to the city, about a 35 min. ride around peak times. Uber costs to Manhattan about $20-40 depending on time frame. The building doesn't have a working elevator, so it was a bit inconvenient to bring up 2 Large luggage's. Other than that, everything was great. Let's just say my legs are really toned from the stairs :) Its pretty easy to find deli's, pizza spots, bars, convenient stores. You get roof access & a laundry card (laundry is on same floor super convenient). Everything you need is there, Great hospitality! Greg was very easy to communicate with & responded very fast to any of my questions. He also gave us additional late check out which was so kind of him. I'm so glad we got the opportunity to experience NYC & brooklyn with a comfortable place to come home too. Thank you!!!

Julia and Gregs apartment is great. It's easy to be in, nice location, easy to get into the city or elsewhere in Brooklyn. Julia was a super helpful host. Came to greet us at the apartment even though our flight got in late, gave us a great recommendation for a local place for breakfast (we ate there every day pretty much) and sorted us out with a laundry card. Overall I couldn't recommend this apartment or hosts enough. A must if you're looking to stay in BK.

Really enjoyed staying in this beautiful apartment! The space was a lot smaller than I expected based on my interpretation of the photos, but it was plenty of space for me and my friend to live comfortably during our trip. The apartment was one open room with a bed (as well as a higher lofted bed) in one corner, a window-facing desk/work area, a super comfy couch and TV, with a small kitchen and bathroom. Julia was super sweet and helpful and walked us through everything we needed during our stay. I loved that the space had lots of plants and big windows, and that the sunrise illuminated the apartment every morning (this helped me roll out of bed early every day haha), plus you could also access the roof of the apartment which was a really nice surprise! The only downside was that the neighborhood didn't have too many desireable places to walk to (there were several small grocery stores nearby though) and the apartment wasn't super close to any trains. The apartment did not have air conditioning and could get pretty hot during the day (although the large box fan kept it comfortable as long as the windows were open), so I would not recommend staying there if you are hot-natured. We had a couple of small, random issues/inconveniences during our trip (the maintenance crew at the apartment had to fix the tiling in the shower the first day because there was a leak, and the water was turned off for several hours during the last day of our trip), but neither of these instances were the fault of the host and they resolved themselves quickly. Overall this was a fun place to stay and I was very pleased with our host's interaction and helpfulness. Thank you so much, Julia!

This spot is a gem. Working with Julia was so pleasant. She was responsive and friendly and kind and helpful. The apartment was clean, spacious, had great light, very comfortable and endlessly fascinating. We loved the way it was decorated! We slept really well in the loft beds. Rooftop access was amazing to have. Julia gave us great suggestions for restaurants/things to do in the area. Overall, my friends and I were very satisfied. I would definitely stay here again. Loved it. Very happy with the experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time staying in Gregory and Julia's apartment! I was there for a week and was very comfortable the whole time. The apartment is filled with interesting items, books, and plants, but was very clean and cozy. It was an unusually temperate November in New York but there were a couple really cold days and the heater worked very well and kept the apartment warm while I was there. I didn't personally interact with Gregory, but Julia was there to welcome me when I arrived and they even let me check in a few hours early which I thought was very generous. The apartment does not share any common walls with other units so it felt very private and the east facing windows provided a lot of daylight. The neighborhood is great and was so convenient in terms of getting to Manhattan by train. All in all it was a very charming place and a great experience. Many thanks to both Gregory and Julia for providing such a wonderful home away from home.

Gregory's loft is a remarkably spacious place with beautiful nooks and crannies that are super comfortable and it's super clean. You have everything you could ever want. Great speakers, great lofted tv area with so many pillows we had a really comfortable movie night every night. The light from the sunrise is fantastic as well too. Very dream like in the morning. The neighbourhood was fantastic, good transport links and near a plethora of good food, bars and shops. Clean airy, house plants are a beautiful plus and there's a wonderful amount of art and books. Would highly recommend it and I would love to stay here again next time I'm in NY.
