I have a bright furnished 2 bedroom suite in central Vancouver with easy access to public transit, a community centre, the public library & lots of restaurants. (Main & Broadway area)
I am looking for someone to sublet the 2nd bedroom periodically. I am happy to host for anything from a couple of days to a couple of months.
The suite itself is fully furnished and very clean with large south facing windows, hardwood floors, fireplace, dishwasher, TV, wireless internet and laundry (front load washer in suite. Dryer in building).
The bedroom has a queen sized bed with linen & towels provided. The room is normally unused, so the double-sized closet and dressers are essentially empty providing lots of space to store gear and clothes as needed.
For longer term rentals, I am generally looking for a clean non-smoker (30 something... ish) who is relatively quiet, but who is also sociable and doesn't spend endless hours simply watching television. It particular suits (though not necessarily limited to) grad students, mature travellers.
I am pretty active after work (volleyball, climbing, running/orienteering), but enjoy hanging out at home once in a while watching films or having friends over for dinner or board games. I have done extensive travelling in the past and always enjoy chatting with fellow travellers.
Since I am often sharing my home with people I accept, it is appreciated if you could tell me a little bit about yourself or update your profile so that I have some sense of who you are.
Best of luck wherever you end up... :o)
Living room, kitchen, dining room, guest bedroom
This varies quite a bit. I often enjoy long interesting conversations, going out to dinner, or even going hiking with guests, but in some cases, due to our respective schedules, I virtually never meet them.
Lots of restaurants, coffee shops.
Easy access to public transport in multiple directions.
Close vicinity of community centre & public library.
Lots of buses close by going to:
* along broadway
* to the skytrain
My stay at Ran's place was good. I wasn't home very often so I didn't get many occasions to talk to Ran but he's a nice guy. He'll give you some advice if you need and be helpful.
My stay at Ran's place was good. Ran is a nice person and easy to get along with. He was very accommodating with my late checking and early checkout times.
Ran is a very nice person who you get along with easily. I enjoyed my stay and definitely recommend him as host. His place is at a very good spot in Vancouver and accessible by some major bus-lines and close to the skytrain.
Ran is very outdoorsy person. He advised me on hiking, snowshoeing, and rock climbing in the area.
I used kitchen every day, it had all appliances necessary for me.
The Location is very convenient, very close to Downtown.
It was nice staying with Ran for 2 days. The appartment is well situated in Vancouver. He even offered us to share a thanksgiving meal with his friends !
I had a great stay at Ran's. He's a very interesting guy, well travelled, and his apartment is full of trophies from his adventures. The apartment is cosy and in a pretty nice location with lots of restaurants and cafes in the area. Would recommend.
It was a pleasure meeting Ran. He has been very accommodating to my requests. The apartment is in a very convenient location. The room is spacious and the bed comfortable.
Staying at Ran's place was really good ! It's easy to go around from his place, and he is really nice !
My time at Ran's was very enjoyable. Ran was very supportive whilst I was staying with him. His home is located next to a lovely park and close to shops & transport. I would recommend spending time at Rans home.
Warm regards, Phil
Ran's a wonderful host, very friendly and chilled out. We were out quite a bit and up at strange times due to jet lag so didn't see him too much but he just let us get on with it. Beautiful flat in a great location just 20 minute walk to downtown (or a 5 minute cycle) but also just off Main St where there are some fantastic cafes and restaurants.
Would definitely recommend him.
