The idyllic forest hideaway 20 minutes from Mt Baw Baw Ski Village. Moose Head Lodge is one of a kind; off-grid, warm and comfortable, a little quirky and oh so peaceful.

We love Moose Head Lodge. An off-grid gem where you can truly stop and take in the natural beauty. Comfortable, considered and truly unique. You'll feel at home the minute you enter, bedrooms prepared with beautiful linen, a bottle of wine to settle proper and special touches make Moose Head Lodge a place you'll remember.

'There is a plethora of quality blankets and rugs — perfect for fireside relaxation. The beds were fabulous, perfect after our novice (and frequently painful) days on the snow. There was plenty of music. There were books and board games. Our children's initial horror at discovering there was no wifi was short-lived. Snow fields are just 20 minutes away. There's some fabulous walking to be done at Mt Baw Baw during the warmer months and some lovely walking and mountain bike tracks around Tanjil Bren. 

There are no shops, and that's just the way we like it.
