Richard and Stella are warm and wonderful hosts! They welcomed our family with homemade cookies, breakfast items, a bottle of wine, and all kinds of information to maximize our stay in San Diego. In addition, Richard and Stella were incredibly flexible with family members airplane arrivals and departures. We had a great reunion with family at Stella and Richard's lovely home.
Great trip! Beautiful home!
The home was in a great location. Hosts made us feel extremely welcome. They gave us local wine and treats and provided tips on local eats, etc. We were in town for a marathon and Stella even offered to get up at 5am and drop us off there.
Stella was a bit off-putting in her emails before our arrival which made us feel apprehensive at first but in person, both she and Richard were absolutely delightful and welcoming indeed!
These hosts paid attention to detail and obviously take hosting seriously. I would definitely stay there again.
Thanks for the great review! Our record of the e-mails on Airbnb show they blocked your phone numbers & flight info, but your names were there. Your first request was for 3, then 4, then you mentioned someone cancelled on you… a miscommunication for both of us. We think you're all great and I apologize for any confusion too…just life on Airbnb sometimes. Sending sincere good wishes.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego. The home was exactly as it looked in the pictures. The hosts were very accommodating and nice; they provided us with homemade cookies and wine and everything we needed for a light breakfast in the morning. The house was centrally located with a short trip to all the San Diego attractions. We would definitely stay here again!
Richard and Stella made us feel incredibly welcome even before we officially booked our stay with them, giving us all kinds of information about the surrounding area, distances the house was from major attractions, recommendations for places to eat, etc. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Stella who gave us a tour of the house, which was exactly as described on the website. They made us feel so welcome, adding little touches like a few breakfast items, a book full of information about the area (including a savings card for the local grocery store so we could get discount prices on items!) and even a bottle of champagne for us, since we were celebrating birthdays and new jobs with this trip. It was absolutely fantastic. The neighborhood was quiet and comfortable, the house easy to find and very clean.
We enjoyed our stay at Richard and Stella's house. The house looked just like the description. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. The location was perfect for us and is close to so many great parts of town. The house was nice and quiet which was important for us traveling with our 1 year old.
We will be back!
Stella and Richard were great hosts. They open their house with generosity and hospitality. They gave us a tour of the house and provided us with everything we needed....from towels to washer and dryer. They make Susan and I extremely comfortable and happy. We were quickly settled and had eggs in frig and chocolate cookies on the counter. I loved early mornings where birds were singing in the backyard with nice breeze coming through bedroom window! I will definitely come back and stay here!
