After many years of renovation and revisioning and home to many different residents, Laurel Falls has been creatively modernized and is now available as a vacation retreat rental. In the Beautiful Western North Carolina Mountains this retreat stands out as a unique and preserved property, one that you will never forget.
Spread over 18 acres, Laurel Falls offers 4 traditional craftsman style log residences that will make your family and friends feel at home year round. The property boasts incredible natural features in the landscape, such as creek side water falls, wooded walking trails, dramatic rock outcroppings, native plants and unrivaled mountain views. Each home has its own character and amenities that make Laurel Falls much more than just a place to rest your head.
The Lodge offers sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the 5 bedroom Lodge anchors the entire property and has a truly special way of bringing people together. An original stone porch that runs the length of the lodge allows you to watch the sunrise, sit and take in the view, and relax under the stars in the hot tub. Inside, there are 3 original fireplaces. Two are converted to gas and the main living room has a wood burning fireplace. The kitchen has been opened up and modernized with a full size cooks range, perfect for cooking for the crowd. At the back of the lodge enjoy the covered pavilion, which can entertain a band, tables and chairs or just sit and relax and take in the view.
The Carriage House is a comfortable one bedroom apt. which originally, was built above the garage as a cooks kitchen in the 1920's.
Beautifully renovated with a full kitchen, it is a cozy space that also has 2 dramatic boulders near the back patio.
The Chestnut Cabin is nestled amongst rock outcroppings, periwinkle and native plants. The Cabin serves as the gateway to the lower property and gets it name from the original hand hewn chestnut logs that make up the lower half of the building. Enjoy the cozy living room with the wood burning fireplace and upstairs in the lofted bedroom take some time to read and relax in the corner window seat.
The Waterfall Cabin is a private 2 bedroom cabin built by the current owners to complement the natural creek fed water fall and rock grotto, set among native rhododendron. The cabin has a two story deck, with a hot tub area built above the creek. You will feel immersed in nature staying in this comfortable cabin dwelling.
