I have a beautiful three bedroom cottage with panoramic views of Falcarragh beach and sand dunes. The premise has a welcoming, informal and cosy feel with a lovely open fire going when it gets chilly.
The cottage has a kitchen, large living room and a shared bathroom with electric shower.
I am renting two rooms which have double beds, wooden floors and large windows. These spacious rooms are comfortable, cosy and relaxing. There are drawers and wardrobes in both rooms and the bathroom is located on the same floor.
Guests have access to their bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. There will be no access to upstairs.
Interaction with Guests
I'm happy to interact with guests and help them with their needs. I will also be respectful of their space.
The area is close to the beach and the mountains. It's great for surfing, kite surfing, kayaking , hill walking there is also a local golf course.
The local pubs have traditional Irish music if you fancy a pint of the black stuff after your days sporting activities.
The area is steeped in history and local mythology so can provide guests a tour and information of the area they wish .
There is three bus services that pass through Falcarragh , Feda O Donnel who has a daily service to Galway, John McGinley , from Dublin and Padraig Gallagher from Belfast all have their timetables on their websites.
Other Things to Note
I can provide hiking, rock climbing and kayaking sessions , just ask me for details.
Smokers must smoke outside.
The view was amazing, Falcarragh and Gortahork are full of kind and wonderful people, and Conor does a fantastic job accommodating his guests. He very much leaves the amount of involvement he has in your vacation up to you, although I would recommend taking him up on any offers to see local sites-he's very knowledgable about the area. He's also very flexible, which was helpful for me and my reliance on public transport.
I think a lot of people who review this listing poorly need to realise that this place is a cottage. Not a cottage-themed hotel or resort- an old cottage. Its beautifully restored and maintained, but it is in Donegal, which does get cold and rainy. If you're not willing to wear socks around the place, you may want to look elsewhere. This comment is not meant to deter anyone, just to make sure you know that its part of the experience.
The cover picture is, in fact an accurate representation of the view from Conor's cottage, and it is beautiful! Moreover, the drives surrounding the two closest towns are equally rugged and stunning.
What can I say that hasn't already been said? It's a great house in a picturesque location and Conor is a social and knowledgable host. A unique AirBnB experience for sure :)
Conor was an engaged and welcoming host. He does a great job curating an authentic experience of County Donegal, including both culture and landscape. The property is comfortable and super well-situated-- the view from the front step is unbelievable, and a short drive offers even more. Altogether, a really pleasant experience, highly recommended : )
We had a lovely stay at Conor's cottage and would recommend a stop here if you are visiting beautiful Donegal. The view is really nice as was the fire Conor prepared after a delicious dinner in town at his friend's restaurant and before pints and music with his friends at a nearby pub. We enjoyed chatting with Conor who made us feel right at home and shared some local recommendations that were all spot on.
The view from Connor's home was remarkable. He took us to his local pub for traditional Irish music night and he couldn't have been nicer. His home is off the beaten path and he suggested lots of great not so touristy attractions to stop along our route. He even told us Irish legends and history by the fire after dinner. We went for a wonderful breakfast at his friends cafe in town the next morning. Would definitely recommend this stop to friends and adventurers.
A fantastic way to see and experience Irish culture with a true local. Connor spent the afternoon showing us around his piece of paradise. Great night out spent seeing some local talent at the world famous Leo's pub. Enjoyable stay!

I am an easy going, flexible and friendly guy. I enjoy socialising, surfing, mediating and hiking to name a few hobbies. I am a native Irish speaker. If you want to learn a few words I'd be happy to teach you. I have recently taken up surfing and can tell you where to catch the best waves. I have been known to climb the legendary Muckish and Errigal mountains.
My local knowledge is quite extensive and I regularly take friends and visitors on tours of the local area including Glenveagh national park, Falcarragh and Dun Lewey. I genuinely take pride in sharing stories, myths and history about this beautiful area.
I would be happy to recommend any activities for you and I will do my very best to ensure your stay is memorable.
