The Space

I am renting two rooms which have double beds, wooden floors and large windows. These spacious rooms are comfortable, cosy and relaxing. There are drawers and wardrobes in both rooms and the bathroom is located on the same floor.

Guest Access

Guests have access to their bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. There will be no access to upstairs.

Interaction with Guests

I'm happy to interact with guests and help them with their needs. I will also be respectful of their space.

The Neighborhood

The area is close to the beach and the mountains. It's great for surfing, kite surfing, kayaking , hill walking there is also a local golf course.
The local pubs have traditional Irish music if you fancy a pint of the black stuff after your days sporting activities.
The area is steeped in history and local mythology so can provide guests a tour and information of the area they wish .

Getting around

There is three bus services that pass through Falcarragh , Feda O Donnel who has a daily service to Galway, John McGinley , from Dublin and Padraig Gallagher from Belfast all have their timetables on their websites.

Other Things to Note

I can provide hiking, rock climbing and kayaking sessions , just ask me for details.

  • Conor was SO welcoming and I am so happy I stayed in Falcarragh when it was not part of my original itinerary. The house itself is charming and Conor keeps it clean but very cozy, and the views are obviously breathtaking. Being an outdoorsman himself Conor has lots of good suggestions for where to explore nearby, and is also just generally a warm, generous, and genuine host - you will feel like you're staying with a friend. Highly recommended!

  • Very good feeling with Conor !
Your house was what I wanted when I booked ...typical Irish ( in my mind ^^)
It was very nice with the sea view!
I was so happy to chat and have a diner with you with the fire in a chimney .
Thanks a million for my first lesson of rock climbing ! :) you was so good and I felt myself totally safe with your instructions... I wanted to stay to do some kayak with you but unfortunately it wasn't possible for us ...:(
I hope come back ASAP to do some kayak !
I hope to see you soon :)

  • The stay at Conor was our most beautiful. The location of his house is unique, he is a very cheerful, kind and helpful host. We had a lot of fun with it and made us feel at home in his house. Its versatility and openness we really liked. We will come back.

  • We were made to feel right at home from the minute we arrived in Falcarragh. Conor is a lovely guy with great local knowledge. His place is well situated with amazing water views & it is really good value for money. Thanks Conor!

    Response from Conor:

I was not asking for more money Johnny I was speaking in jest about you owing me a pint. I think the confusion was that I asked for €50 but I received €33 I think you might of made the mistake of sending me $50 instead of €50 currently €50 is €36.90. I assume Airbnb took €3. You left me that note with €10 in it. Thank you for the note and the 10er that was very thoughtful of you. I'm happy and I have no quarrel with you. I'm not going to argue over a price of a pint.
I hope you enjoyed your travels and I'm sorry for this misunderstanding .

  • Staying with Conor was fantastic! He was such a nice and friendly host. Wish we got to spend more time in Donegal. He showed us around town and our conversations were great. We got a real dose of Irish culture staying staying with Conor.

    Such a treat! Thank you.

  • Conor was a fantastic host. Conor's house is in one of the most beautiful and authentic places I have been to in Ireland. And Conor himself couldn't have been more welcoming. His home is cozy and quiet, and we spent many a night sitting around his fire telling stories and singing songs. If we didn't do that, we would drop in to the pub to see fantastic live music. In addition to this, Conor teaches adventuring, so he took us around Falcarragh in the best way possible. We went surfing, kayaking, hiking, and rock climbing. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to drop off the grid, get in touch with nature, and see one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland in one of the most exciting ways possible.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Conor's place. Although we didn't get to meet Conor personally, because he was away, we were warmly welcomed by his friend Brian, who gave us lots of tips and even made a fire for us.

I am an easy going, flexible and friendly guy. I enjoy socialising, surfing, mediating and hiking to name a few hobbies. I am a native Irish speaker. If you want to learn a few words I'd be happy to teach you. I have recently taken up surfing and can tell you where to catch the best waves. I have been known to climb the legendary Muckish and Errigal mountains. My local knowledge is quite extensive and I regularly take friends and visitors on tours of the local area including Glenveagh national park, Falcarragh and Dun Lewey. I genuinely take pride in sharing stories, myths and history about this beautiful area. I would be happy to recommend any activities for you and I will do my very best to ensure your stay is memorable.
