Interaction with Guests
Myself and my fiance Jamie live with our 2 black cats Bert and Ernie and our lurcher Herb. We will do everything we can to make you feel welcome during your stay and will interact with you as much or as little as is comfortable for you.
We live on a quite cul-de-sac with plenty of parking. At the back of the house there is a plot of allotments beyond which are fields and woods with good routes for walking/jogging. There is a village shop, post office, 2 pubs and an Italian restaurant all within walking distance. We are less than 10 mins drive from Wrest Park- an English Heritage property, Haynes Park (Science of the Soul) and round the corner from The Clophill Centre for complimentary therapy.
The village is located off the A6 between Luton and Bedford, approximately 20 minutes to each. The closest railway station is Flitwick which is 10 mins drive and is on the mainline to London with trains every 10 mins.
Polite guests are welcome and it is appreciated if guests would leave place as they find it, clean and tidy.
Staying with my wife and my daughter at Mary's house in Clophill has been very nice, we have had a great chat in the evening, just like with friends, in a very Airbnb style. Also my daughter loved it, especially the dog, while she is still searching for the cats ;) .
Clean room and bed, quiet and comfortable. Nice large window to look up the stars on a good day.
Jamie and Mary made me feel so welcome and were very warm helpful, warm hearted and a joy to be around I would stay with them again such a beutiful area with wonderful walks ancient ruins and very charming viallage and area
Thanks Jamie and Mary
My friends stayed with Mary and her husband. They said they were made to feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. They loved the added bonus of being given breakfast, which they hadn't expected. Overall, my friends and I would definitely recommend Mary's room.

Mary and Jamie were both very welcoming into their home. The room was lovely with a good view of the allotments beyond the garden. The other aspect, which was lovely, was the shower...! When you wake up this is just the best.
In the evenings the dog would curl up on the sofa with you, which was nice and warm and didn't leave any hairs! The cats were cuddly but weren't around much. The house is equipped with lots of modern facilities and is a very quiet location, perfect for a good night’s sleep.
Mary and Jamie made me feel very welcome, I had a good nights sleep and good conversation. I would recommend them to anyone, thank you and good luck with Herb!
