A recently renovated studio with a historic charm. Huge, romantic stone fireplace, tasteful, comfortable furnishings and decor, in Brattleboro in a secluded location next to the forest. Five min. drive to downtown, near fine dining and shopping.
In the 50's the house used to belong to Ely Culbertson- father of American Contract Bridge, the wildly popular game in the mid 20th century. The beautiful wood-paneled walls, hardwood floors, view of our gardens, full bath, tasteful decor and a modern kitchen area make this space unique, welcoming and warm. Internet and cable TV are provided.
It is a fully equipped apartment with kitchen, bathroom, own entrance and parking.
Interaction with Guests
The owners live next door, so while there is complete privacy with your own entrance and parking we are also right there for any problems or questions or if you just want to join us for a beverage in the garden.
It's a very good location, near major thoroughfares yet secluded and quiet. Everything is close to here, but the same time it feels like you live in the forest. Steps away from the Brattleboro Farmers' Market, activities at Living Memorial Park, minutes from downtown Brattleboro.
There is a small bus regional bus.
Other Things to Note
I allow pets. So if you have allergies my place is not for you.
We only ask that our guests enjoy the property quietly since there are others living in the same building. Other than that our property is here to be enjoyed!

Julia's studio apt in Brattleboro was a wonderful place to call home for a few days of skiing. The space was well appointed and comfortable for two people. Having a working fireplace rounded a great vacation.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this studio apartment. It was perfect for a couple. There's a nice fireplace, and there was plenty of wood, enabling us to have cozy fires all week long. Bed was comfy, shower was hot, and internet worked very well. Just minutes from downtown Brattleboro which has some excellent restaurants, a great food coop, shops, etc. (two bike shops, if you're a cycler). The host David was very friendly and accommodating, and filled us in on where to go and what to do in the area. There's a wonderful gourmet deli just a quarter mile down the road. All in all, very satisfied.

I am easy going host, my rental units are my primary job. I live in one of the apartments on the same property. It makes me almost always available and easy to reach, If I don't answer on the phone it means I am in the garden taking care of my flowers. . I speak Spanish, Russian and English. I love dogs and cats they are welcome too.
I can't live without good conversations, travel to the warm countries and sleeping late. I don't like TV and novels, I believe life is much more interesting then art in general. Did I tell already that I am an artist?
