With approximately 2,000 sq. ft. of living space your family will have plenty of room to relax! The living room features a reclining sofa and a reclining loveseat. There is a 37 inch flat screen television for those who wish to watch tv. There are large windows to enjoy the outdoors and the mountain view. The living/dining combination has a dining table that seats six and there is also a breakfast bar that seat two. The kitchen is fully equipped to make preparing meals easy and enjoyable. The bedroom on the main level has a queen size bed and antique dresser. There is a full bath on the main level with a shower/tub combination. Up the stairs from the main level is the master bedroom loft. There is a king size bed and attached bath with a shower stall. There is also an antique dresser. Downstairs from the main living area is the finished daylight basement. There is a second kitchen with a stove, refrigerator and microwave and equipped with dishes and pans. The living area has a loveseat and two upholstered swivel rocking chairs. For entertainment there is a air hockey table and a tv. There is also a pub table with stools to seat while you wait for your turn on the air hockey table. There is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. In the closet in the bathroom is a full size washer and dryer. There are two bedrooms and each room features a set of twin beds. Clayton has that small hometown feeling with great shopping and restaurants on historical Main Street. Check out one of the largest hardware stores at Reeves Hardware in downtown Clayton. Another must see is Goats on the Roof! ((email hidden)) This is an unique variety country store that everyone, young or old, will enjoy. There are unlimited waterfalls in surrounding areas for your viewing and enjoyment. Within .9 miles of our house is the Tiger Mountain Winery which offers wine tasting and sales ((website hidden)). Approximately 15 miles away is the famous Dillard House which offers tons of delicious southern food served family style. Be sure to bring your appetite! ((website hidden)) A great place to hike and enjoy the mountain air is the Tallulah Falls Gorge State Park and is approximately 15 miles from the house. There is also a museum on site. ((email hidden)/info/tallulah) Additional hiking areas include the Bartram Trail, Appalachian Trail and the Chattooga River Trail. The Clayton/Tiger area boast two beautiful scenic lakes, Lake Rabun and Lake Burton. Boating, water-sking, fishing abound! Tiger is home to an old fashioned drive-in movie theater that is still in operation. Our home is conveniently located to so many areas. Within a thirty minute drive is Hiawassee, Ga or Helen, Ga and Franklin, NC. Highlands, NC is approximately 45 minutes away. White water rafting is approximately 20 minutes away on the Chattooga River in South Carolina.
SHORT TERM RENTAL AGREEMENT
This Short Term Rental Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made by and between (“Homeowner”) and (“Guest”) as of the date set forth on the signature page of this Agreement. For good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is Acknowledged, the parties hereby agree as follows:
The property is furnished.
The rental party shall consist of no more than 8 guests.
Maximum Occupancy is limited to 8 persons.
The Agreement begins at 2:00 PM on the “Check-in Date” and ends at 11:00 AM on the “Check-out Date”.
This property re quires a two night minimum stay. Longer minimum stays may be required
during holiday periods.
Guest agrees to abide by the Rental Rules attached as Exhibit A at all times while at the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property to abide by the following rules at all times while at the property
Guest shall allow Homeowner or designated representative access to the property for
purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner or representative shall exercise this right
of access in a reasonable manner.
Absolutely no pets allowed. If there is any evidence that a pet has occupied the premises
the return of the damage deposit will be forfeited.
Reservations made more than 30 days in advance require a minimum of 50% of the total rental payment and deposit at the time of reservation with the remaining 50% due at least 30 days before arrival. Reservations made less than 30 days before arrival require 100% of the rental and deposit at the time of booking. If the outstanding balance is not paid in full at least 30 days before arrival, the reservation may be cancelled by the Homeowner and refunded.
If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, the deposit will be refunded in full if written
notification is provided before thirty days of arrival date.
There is a $200 damage deposit due when reserving and will be refunded after an inspection of premises shows that there is no damage. It may take up to 30 days for the refund to be processed.
We encourage all renters to purchase traveler insurance.
The parties agree to the terms of this Short Term Rental Agreement.
Smoking is allowed outside only.
People other than those in the Guest Party set forth above may not stay overnight in
the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.
This property is privately owned. The owners are not responsible for any accidents,
injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises. The homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting
this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm
arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.
Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
Only use appliances for their intended uses.
There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are available, daily
maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be
taken from the property. If any linens are damaged by makeup or products with bleach
there will be a charge of $10 for each towel that is damaged and a charge of $50 for any
bed linens that are damaged. These charges will be taken from the damage deposit.
It is highly suggested that you bring makeup removal towelettes and your own linens if
you are using any personal care products with bleach. Any charges for excessive cleaning that is to be done after the renter has occupied the premises such as carpet cleaning or extra cleaning for stain removals or for any other cleaning required to get property back to the condition it was in before the renter occupied the premises will be deducted from the damage deposit.
DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper in the toilets. No feminine products are
to be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the system, you could be charged damages of up to $300.00.
Burning of decorative candles is prohibited. They are for decorative purposes only.
Owner is not responsible for returning items that have been left behind. However
Will be happy to mail items if notified early enough to find the item and if the guest Agrees to pay all costs associated with returning the item.
All dishes are to be cleaned and stored back into cupboards.
Absolutely no pets allowed on premises.
The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. It was cozy, yet had enough space and bathrooms for our entire party of eight people. The view was amazing, with lots of natural light inside, and comfortable space to enjoy the scenery outside. The rural location was convenient to Wal-Mart, and the kitchen was well equipped with appliances, dishes and utensils.
When we first came to this area we immediately fell in love with it and then decided
that we wanted to purchase a vacation home here. It truly is a great place to get away from it all and relax!
