Interaction with Guests
I'm friendly and chatty, but will give you plenty of space too.
Very safe, pleasant neighborhood with mature trees. Quiet neighbors, but many pedestrians walking with dogs and kids. Bike/pedestrian path just out the door that accesses miles of open space trails where you can get great views of the mountains. Downtown is about a mile away and has a great variety of restaurants and shops including free concerts on Friday evenings in the summer at the "Street Fair". Recreation center with pool, gym, sauna, hot tub, weights, tennis courts, etc less than a mile away.
Two blocks to the local bus to Boulder, Broomfield, Superior or Lafayette. Two miles to the regional buses to Denver.
Viki is a wonderful host. I felt totally comfortable in her home which is in a safe family neighborhood close to the school I was attending. If it was warmer I would have loved to have taken a walk on the nearby trails. I enjoyed her ecofriendly environment as she prides herself in her organic gardening and naturalistic approach. Warming myself next to her wood stove I felt cozy and right at home. Even Zorro, the cat, treated me more like a member of the family than a stranger. Viki is both friendly and allows for your privacy. Since it is winter, even the flannel sheets on the bed provided thoughtful care. Thank you so much for everything I couldn't have asked for more.
Viki was very welcoming and accommodating during the 5 days I spent at her home. That week happened to be the first cold snap in Colorado! Most of the house is heated by the wood stove in the living room, so the temp was kept down at night, but there were plenty of blankets and a space heater to keep me warm. Most of the time I was gone, but coming home to good conversation with Viki and her amiable, entertaining cat, Zorro, made for a nice stay. I would recommend staying in Viki's home for anyone coming to the Louisville/Boulder area.
Vicki was great! It was a very short stay, but she was very accommodating. She gave us walking directions to downtown (15 mins from her house) and thought to lend me an umbrella for the walk. Sweet lady, beautiful garden, nice room.
Viki was a great host, the neighborhood was quiet and we would certainly stay there again. Thank you Viki!
Viki is a wonderful host! She has a lovely home, and we enjoyed chatting with her and meeting the friendly Zorro (her cat). The bed is comfortable, the room is cozy, and having a private bathroom was an added bonus. We would have been happy to stay here longer! The location is great too - we loved being able to walk to downtown Louisville. Viki is such a thoughtful and considerate host, she even sent us home with fresh veggies from her garden. Perfect if you're in the area and looking for a laid-back, homey place to stay.
This was my first adventure using Airbnb. I was somewhat skeptical of staying at a strangers home. Viki turned out to be the most gracious host. She was friendly, welcoming and very helpful. She made us feel right at home. Viki knows the area extremely well and helped us navigate the town. The accommodations were exactly as described, no surprises. The neighborhood was quite nice, with walking trails and just 15 minutes to Boulder.
Recently retired, I am an organic gardener, and keep ducks in my back yard and a cat in the house. I am also a contra dancer, caller, and musician (fiddler). I have lived in the Boulder Colorado area my entire life, but have traveled widely. I love the outdoors, hike, backpack, canoe, ski, and watch wildlife. No smokers please.
