This dog friendly country farm house built in 1904 sits on private fenced in 2 acres. A close 5 min. drive to the Windsor town green where every Thursday evening in the summer there is a farmers market and a featured local band.
The town of Healdsburg is a short 10 min.drive north on 101. A quaint little town (as are all the towns in Sonoma County) full of gourmet restaurants, wine tasting: the town square is surrounded by chic owner operated markets and novelty stores. Wine country (north, east) starts here and no matter which directions you take you will encounter more wineries than one can visit in a day. Lake Sonoma is 15 min. east of Healdsburg where fishing, boating, hiking and picnicking are available. All in all there are 4 lakes within a 1 1/2 hour drive.
The Sonoma coast is a 25 min. drive east thru picturesque windy country roads. You can drive Highway 1 in either directions heading south to Gualala or north to Stinson beach. On your way to the coast you might want to stop in Guerneville to visit the Armstrong National forest, a must see for any visitor.
Heading south on our 101 freeway is Sausalito a 45 min. drive (a small town on the bay) and another 15 min south brings you to San Francisco!
The bedrooms are located downstairs. One having its own bathroom attached (double bed) the other bedroom (queen) has a bathroom down hallway. Note: these rooms are rented seperately. Very private as our bedroom is upstairs and do not use the hallway bathroom. We also have a private self-contained cottage behind our home that is listed under "Cottage on Farm House Setting."

Mark and Jeri were great hosts. The house and room is exactly as described and woulf recommend this to anyone visiting the sonoma region. They are very central and the town of windsor is great. Jeri is super layed back and very outgoing, always wanting us to have everything we need. Thanks again for a great 4 day stay.
We LOVED our stay with Mark and Jeri. They welcomed us from the minute we walked in and gave us a tour of their beautiful home including seeing the farm, and meeting the chickens and the dogs - it was perfect. They gave us suggestions for vineyards and tasting rooms to visit and had cards to give us discounts, which was so nice, b/c there are so many options to choose from and the cost adds up, so we greatly appreciated it!
Mark and Jeri were really helpful in making sure everything ran smoothly for us. We were there for the Vineman 70.3 race and Mark even set the coffee to go off in the morning for us.
As for the room, it was exactly as described and we enjoyed the room. The location was great too. The park is right around the corner and it was so easy to get to Windsor and Healdsburg. I hope to make many more trips to the Wine Country and will always hope to stay here.
The room was spacious and the accommodations were clean. The bed was very comfortable and the accommodations were as advertised. The hosts were kind and helpful.
Loved staying at the Farm House! I was by myself and got a very cozy and clean room, with private bathroom. I really enjoyed my staying, got super relaxed, and would have love to stay longer. Great hosts and very friendly doggies in the house made my staying even more pleasant.
My sister and I and stayed with Mark and Jeri for one night and we had a dog with us. Because of the dog, we wanted to make sure Mark and Jeri were home for the "introduction." Though we had plans and they had plans we were all able to communicate our comings and goings and made sure our arrival went well. Their full-sized pups were curious but kind to 15-lb Enzo. Their place is less than a 10-minute drive to Healdsburg and as advertised.
Mark and Jeri were perfect hosts! They were extremely outgoing and friendly from the moment we came to the door, but also gave us plenty of space and privacy when we wanted it. They have two very sweet dogs who got along great with our dog. Their home was beautiful and cozy, with an amazing and relaxing yard! They gave us some great suggestions of local activities and hiking spots and we really enjoyed exploring the huge regional park that was walking distance from their house. The icing on the cake was the amazing home made breakfast in the morning, which included eggs from their chickens, home-made sausage, fresh fruit, and vegetables from their garden! We would absolutely stay with them again, and highly recommend them as hosts! Thanks, Mark and Jeri!
Mark and Jeri are both very low-key people and their house is perfectly situated for exploring the wine country around Dry Creek Valley. Jeri have is tons of brochures and coupons to local tasting rooms. They have a lovely garden and even let us pick fresh blackberries to go with our yogurt in the morning. Their dogs, Rico and Marley are the sweetest pups, so if you need some canine love, you'll be sure to find it. Very positive experience overall.
