Marbella is still one of the most untouched beaches and one of the most consistent surf spots on the pacific coast of Costa Rica. This contributes to the fact that you can still find amazing surf with no one out in the water or just enjoy having the beach all for yourself. We offer surf lessons with Yoav and yoga lessons with Cecilia and our guest are welcome to use our yoga shala for personal practice.
We are located 2 hours away from Liberia International Airport. 1 hour from Nosara – Playa Guiones which has an airport for domestic flights and 1 hour from the very touristic beach town of Tamarindo.
Playa Negra, which also offers great waves, is 30 minutes away. The Wildlife Refuge of Ostional is one of the World's most important nesting sites for Olive Ridley Sea Turtles is about 30 minutes away as well
Our house and the guesthouse is located on the hills of playa Marbella surrounded by beautiful nature. We are located about 2 km from the small village of Marbella and 5 minutes drive to the beach.
The property is located in a secluded area. Perfect for those who like their space. It is recommended to have a car or motorcycle to get around.
There are a variety of restaurants and few small grocery stores in the area for your convenience.
The guesthouse is a unit connected to our house and has a separate entrance and private garden. It sleeps 3 people. The bedroom has a queen size bed and the living room has
a sofa / single bed. It offers a fully equipped kitchen, hot water and ceiling fans. The water is filtered and safe to drink. Cleaning service is available upon request.
Laundry is also available.

Great experience !!!
I will be rebooking soon. Cecilia and Yoav are The best hosts I've come across. Room was clean and the yoga session made the trip.
They were very helpful with directions and activity booking.
If you want a real costa Rican experience for a deal this is it!
Yoav and cecilia are amazing hosts and their property is spectacular. The beach at Marbella is very beautiful and off the beaten path. We drove up from Santa Teresa along the coast, which I'd highly recommend if you are up for adventure and have 4x4. Nosara is the closest tourist area that is worth a day trip. Wi-fi worked fine for us, and I can't think of anything that I wasn't happy with. I'd recommend stocking up on food whenever you see it, and I found ATM's unreliable on our trip, so have enough cash on hand. Rent a board at the tiki hut on the beach and go have fun! Thanks!
Joav and Cecelia's yoga and surf casita is very special, very relaxing, a perfect place to surf, swim, walk the beach, and rise to do yoga and watch the sun setting over the hills. It is relatively inaccessible, although the directions are great, but it means that one needs to think about food and gas before arriving. They will help with suggestions and the whole family is wonderful!
You want a true Costa Rican experience? Stay here! It's peaceful, off the beaten track, and just downright homey. Warning: you must be okay with animals and insects. Howling monkeys woke me up at the break of dawn; spiders, scorpions, and bugs of all sorts will enter into the house. I traveled with 2 other girls and the first night we were here, we captured and released a big spider. By the last day we were here, we didn't even care about any of that anymore. Honestly, there are bugs everywhere and you must have the mentality "live and let live" to truly enjoy Costa Rica. This place is difficult to find without a car. Yoav (didn't get the chance to meet Cecilia) is very nice and helpful. His laid back personality rubbed off on us because we definitely just went with the flow when we stayed here. If internet connection is really important to you, bring a computer-- you won't be able to connect with your phone. If you want to connect to the real world, there is internet available in places around the small town, but why would you?
If you like open spaces and nature at its finest, I truly recommend a visit at Yoav and Cecilia's place in beautiful Marbella. This part of the country is still pretty unknown. That means fewer tourists, an amazing beach, tranquility and a real contact with nature. The guesthouse in which we stayed is perfect for a couple. It has everything you need to cook your meals, a good bed, a hammock to relax and it's situated at the top of a mountain. The view on the jungle and on the incredible sunset is just amazing. If you are interested in surfing and/or yoga, I also recommend this place to you. Yoav is a great and passionate surfer that enjoys showing the perks of Marbella and its waves through his lessons. He won’t only teach you how to surf, he will also make sure you understand the ocean and learn the essence of what this "Pura Vida" way of life means. Cecilia is a super good and peaceful yoga teacher. She will make sure to explain you how to breath correctly and expel all the bad thoughts to clear your mind, relax and enjoy the present moment, which is hell of an important thing in life. Well, the hosts were very welcoming and most importantly, super cool and mellow people. We really enjoyed staying at their place; we miss it a lot already! We hardly and sincerely recommend it!
Yoav & Cecilia have created a wonderful home for themselves and their guests, beautifully located: secluded yet close enough to a nummer of nice beaches, and with a great feel to it. Also for non surf/yoga minded folks. We loved staying here.
