Waipio Wayside opened in 1988 and is being run as a B&B. Recently I added Airbnb rooms to accommodate all kinds of travelers. Those who want to be up & out early and those who do not care to join our 8 o’clock breakfast. Thirty years later I am still here and love what I do. It is all about the guests - everyone has a story. It is great fun sharing information about Hawaii and our Big Island. My life motto is "Never stop moving". I vacation in Japan at least once a year. I am in the process of walking the Shikoku 88 temple trail.
