About this listing
This is the large room of the 2 rooms in my "Sunny Second Floor" listing. In a quiet, leafy, safe neighborhood, close to all Cleveland's wonders.
With a queen bed and double futon/bed, it easily sleeps 3. Lots of light and air.
Hardwood floors, free wi-fi and cable TV make the room perfect for a family.
We're close to the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospital, Case Western Reserve, John Carroll University, Ursuline College and Notre Dame College. Starbucks, Whole Foods, loads of retail, and restaurants and pubs are within walking distance.
We're also walking distance to churches, temples, and synagogues. The RTA (www.riderta,com) is the public transportation system, and it's convenient and nearby.
Cleveland is a great place for 'foodies' and fabulous gourmet spots are only a short drive away. The amazing Cleveland Museum of Art is also an easy bus ride or short drive-and it's FREE.
You won't want to miss any of the great other arts and entertainment opportunities offered in Cleveland, and I'll be happy to make recommendations and give you directions.
Feel free to use the kitchen, dining room and/or breakfast nook, or to soak in the hot tub. You'll share the shower in the first floor bathroom with me and my room mate, and the upstairs half bath with a guest across the hall (if there happens to be someone renting while you're here)
Interaction with Guests
I love meeting new people and conversing with my guests, and I am also happy to leave you to your own devices if you prefer. I'll have a hearty whole grain bread, bagels, eggs, milk, soy milk, coffee, tea, and juice for you to help yourself to for breakfast.(mainly for shorter stays) And you'll always be invited to join me if I happen to be cooking a meal while you're around.
My neighborhood is diverse, quiet, friendly, and safe. I love that I know all my neighbors and that we have a community garden where we will often chat while we're pulling weeds, planting or whatever. All the kids know me as "Miss Colleen," they'll yell hello as I'm walking by, or come over to offer help with a chore.
The RTA is actually quite user-friendly, convenient and easy to figure out. Here's their web address: (website hidden)
Collen is a very nice host. She gave me a suggestion about the places I could go and places to eat. Her place is close to everywhere. It is closed to university circle, Little Italy, Lake View Cemetery, Museum of Art. The room is nice and clean and very spacious and it is located in a good neighborhood. I will definitely stay there again if I go to Cleveland.
I felt very welcome while staying at Colleen's house. The room is comfy and large. She lives in a great neighborhood, and her garden in the backyard is beautiful. Colleen is extremely nice; she is a very helpful and caring host. I highly recommend staying here!
We only slept there, and we're there for not more than 12 hours. Colleen is a very nice and friendly woman. She let us use the hot tub at our arrival, even though this was around 10 pm.. Situated in a quiet neighborhood.
Our host was out of town, but she made sure we had a back up contact who was very responsive. We never met our host. The room was listed accurately.
Although not able to be there at the last minute, Colleen made sure we were taken care of by her roommate. He was able to meet us when we arrived and give us an overview of the room/house. The house is very easy to find off of 271 and also very easy to go to Case Western just down Cedar. Our room was neat and clean.
We just spent one night at Colleen's but we could feel how kind, dedicated and loving she is as a personagem and gran'ma. We had the best, most quiet sleep of our trio in the east suburbs of Cleveland, and a very nice área.

About the Host, Colleen
Yoga teacher, dance instructor and drug abuse prevention specialist, I'm friendly, compassionate, and considerate. I enjoy meeting a wide variety of people and learning about their lives and cultures.
My home is generally a quiet, serene environment that nourishes and rejuvenates me.
I love chocolate, having a good book going, a project to be working on, and seafood, lots of seafood.
As a host, I like to hang out and converse with my guests if I'm not too busy. And I'm also happy to leave you to your own devices if that's what you prefer. Breakfast is self-serve, and for 1 or 2 night stays only: I'll have bagels, cream cheese, juice, fruit, milk and coffee and tea in the kitchen that you are welcome to enjoy. And if my roomie and I are cooking in the evening, we'll invite you to join us.
I love Cleveland, and enjoy introducing guests to some of its wonders-sometimes through a driving tour or a personalized map of attractions they may enjoy.
I live by the Golden Rule. Live and let live. Be kind. Happy travels!
