This home is located in a neighborhood of large estate properties with mountain views in all directions, native landscape, wildlife and dark night skies. My guests love the views from the large porch - sunrises, sunsets and city lights. The home is on a large lot with privacy and quiet - a country feeling right in the middle of Santa Fe. It is convenient to all of the popular sites as well as Whole Foods and Trader Joe's and has lots of off-street parking.
Many popular sites are within walking distance. The historic Plaza and Canyon Road are a short 5-minute drive or a 15-20 minute walk. A car is recommended in order to access sites and activities throughout the area, especially during the winter when days are colder and shorter.
Be sure to check flight connections directly to the Santa Fe airport.
Mary Anne's home was everything promised and more. It is well stocked, centrally located, lovely vistas and Mary Anne was an excellent hostess. She met us the day of our arrival and showed us around the house, gave us tips and referrals for restaurants and museums to visit.
We are never staying in a Santa Fe hotel again. Mary Anne's place provided a wonderful home base for our Christmas week of eating, skiing and visiting favorite old haunts. The location was ideal for access to the Plaza, hiking, and watching spectacular sunsets. We also made good use of her kitchen. We're already planning next year's return, with a little luck.
Must stay! Perched on a hill overlooking mountains and twinkling lights from the valley, Mary Anne's custom southwest house is perfect for small family or group stays. It's a quick zip to popular sites and an easy walk to some of Santa Fe's most interesting museums.
The house is spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated, a serene escape from the bustle of fellow travelers in the plaza.
Mary Anne is generous and responsive with tips and insights to make your stay even better.
