First of all, Liz & Ron are very friendly, hospitable, helpful hosts. Their cabin is gorgeous and in my opinion, was perfectly located near stores and attractions. If you’re looking for a cabin that really feels like home in a rustic setting, but not too far from area attractions…

Response from Liz:
You definitely had the full ladybug treatment! That was the most ladybugs we have seen in the cabin and we do apologize. We suspect that the cause was an insecticide spray that we had sprayed on the outside of the house two weeks before your visit. Apparently the bulk of the ladybugs were affected on the day that you were there. We don't ordinarily spray, but we had such a severe swarm in October that there were many that we knew were overwintering in the cracks and crevices of the cabin. At any rate, they seemed to have reduced in number now to where there are only a few on any given day inside the cabin. I can't guarantee that they won't increase in numbers to the ridiculous swarm that infiltrated the cabin during your visit (I did noticed they were mostly dead after you left), but for now, at least, there are only a few. Please come back again sometime and enjoy the now much reduced ladybug population!

Absolutely beautiful cabin. We had EVERYTHING we needed here--all the tiny details were taken care of and our hosts were very easy to get in touch with. Cannot say enough good things about our stay at Meadowbrook! Can't wait to return.

Wonderful place, beautifully decorated, very peaceful and serene. Must love ladybugs!! The cabin was immaculate, but had a TON of ladybugs. Luckily, they are nature’s most acceptable bug.

Dream Cabin would be my description of Meadowbrook Cabin. Cozy, warm, inviting, beautiful and charming are the first impressions you get upon arriving. As time goes by there are little things that you will come across to add to the charm of the cabin and make your stay at the cab…
