Welcome to our original pioneer cabin that has been lovingly refurbished with all the modern conveniences while leaving the warmth of the original circa 1860 hand hewn logs. Located on 143 acres of trails where you can explore nature. Hike your way to the winery next door and enjoy a glass of wine against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are within easy distance of many wineries, breweries and distilleries, as well as the University of Virginia, Monticello, Charlottesville and more!
Upstairs bedroom features a king sized bed. One single daybed located in the hallway outside of the bedroom. Queen size pull out couch in the living room. Central heat and air, plus a wood burning stove. 1/2 bath downstairs, full bath with a washer/dryer upstairs.

DVD players in living room and bedroom
Auxiliary cord provided for the Bose radio/cd player. Plug in your phone or iPad and play your own music as loudly as you want.
Always available are coffee, tea and granola bars for a quick breakfast
Interaction with guests
We are located on the property, but not visible so you will have privacy. We will be happy to assist you with suggestions and links to winery tours or help with restaurant selections or anything else that strikes your fancy. We are easily accessible for anything you need or we can leave you in complete privacy.

No children under 10 please
Please let me know if you will need the single bed and/or the pull out couch made up.
Cell phone service is spotty here, but we do have internet and a land line if you must make a phone call.
Also available: I will do your grocery shopping for you and put everything away so that you are ready to relax when you arrive with everything you need. I will buy anything that you would like to have in the cabin and arrange it - groceries, wine, flowers, chocolates. Anything you can think of I will be happy to buy and set up for you. I charge $25 over the cost of the items. Make it a REAL vacation and let me do the running around for you.
Two way radios are located on the kitchen counter. Please use these if you go for a walk in the woods. We are isolated and if you need assistance it is important that you are able to contact us for help. You can talk to each other on these radios, but please note that we are able to hear you.

Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.
