Tucked away in the woods, quiet, with a comfortable bed. As advertised, and the dog is sweet.

The location was ideal from Whooping Hollow to just about any of the hamlets on the East End. Also for dog walkers, the trail and nature Preserve in her backyard is perfect for animal lovers! Although not warm enough when I stayed in April, she is close to the bays for paddle boarding and/or kayaking.

Carin was the best, she let us do an early check-in and we found the house to be in perfect shape. She made sure we had everything we needed in advance, and took care of us like if we were family. Would come back without thinking it. Ideal location in East Hampton, the garden continues into the woods, the sounds at night are unbelievable.

Carin is a very friendly host and she has two boisterous dogs, who are also very friendly (we love dogs)! But...buyer beware...this really isn't a "private" suite (the host's kitchen is actually located inside the so-called "private suite" -- be prepared for a noisy early-morning). The listing is excessively priced for what it is. The property is listed based on single-person occupancy and a hefty $100/night is added for each additional person, making the space a very overpriced option for two people. The listing also adds a very high cleaning fee ($104), which, given the space and the actual level of cleanliness, is most definitely excessive. Finally, Carin did not have the bikes she advertises in her listing. My daughter and I had to go out to Sag Harbor and rent our own, adding an unexpected additional expense and inconvenience to our short stay. ps: check-in time was listed as 11am, but we were told that we would need to arrive in the afternoon instead.

I can't express enough how wonderful my stay was with Carin. It was the perfect location for a wedding I was attending in East Hampton. The room was extremely clean and private. That said, I also had the good fortune to spend some time getting to know the hostess. I left this weekend with amazing memories and a new friend. Will definitely stay with Carin again should I find myself in the Hamptons next summer!

Carin's home is located in a quiet corner of East Hampton, well away from main traffic thoroughfares and the bustle of pedestrian destinations. Her place was exactly what we wanted: a peacfeul respite that offered easy accessibility to the places we planned to visit during our weekend in the Hamptons: Montauk and Shelter Island. Carin was warm, welcoming and generous. We enjoyed our stay!
