Large bedroom on second floor above garage. Bathroom on first floor (accessed outside and down the stairs). Central location to many restaurants, wineries, hiking, and spas. Bikes available.
This cozy space is in a remodeled loft space over our garage. Guests will sleep soundly in the queen-size bed, curled up in new bedding, including a down comforter. Please note that, as shown in the photos, to access the bathroom you have to walk outside and downstairs. There is a mini fridge in the room but if you would like full access to a kitchen check out our other listing in the main house (the bungalow). We have a driveway you can use to park your car or there is plenty of street parking.
Please note that there is some construction nearby that you can hear in the mornings mid-week. Most guests are happy to wake up early and go check out the area (we've got some great coffee shops nearby) but if you are a light sleeper and want to sleep in late during the middle of the week this may not be the right fit for you until the construction in the neighborhood is complete. We do offer ear plugs and sleep sounds.
Guests can sit on the front or back porches of the main house to have a drink, or just enjoy the day. If you would like to use our washer/dryer, just ask.
Interaction with Guests
You will typically be communicating with Bek via email/inbox on airbnb. During your stay, Jes who lives on site, will often be available to answer any questions, or you can reach out to Bek via email or phone. Upon booking you will be provided instructions for accessing the loft in the house manaul and we are happy to recommend local restaurants, wineries, or transportation.
Calistoga is a postcard of a town, with great little shops, coffee houses, bars, and restaurants, all of which are a mere four blocks from our house (a 5-10 minute walk). We are just a couple blocks from the community pool and also walking distance to the oat hill mine trailhead. Calistoga is located along Highway 29 and the Silverado trail, both of which feature great wineries and beautiful scenery, which you can drive, or even bike, to.
For those without a car or who are not interested in driving their car, we have bikes available to borrow. We are happy to provide information regarding local buses or transportation services, just ask. Jes is also an uber driver.

It was a nice stay for the price. It felt a little like camping to have to walk outside and around for the bathroom, but that was expected. It is very near some lovely wineries and a nice little downtown.
This was a very cool space right near downtown Calistoga. The bed was very comfortable, and I had a great experience.
Bek's place was perfect for us. The room is exactly as pictured on the site. While we didn't use them, the option of bikes was very nice. All in all, this was a nice one night stay in Calistoga and we would love to come back some time in the future. Thanks to Bek and Jes for hosting us! PS - make sure to get breakfast burritos at Palisades Deli Cafe just about 3 short blocks away.
Great place! Perfect location, very comfortable. The bikes are a huge plus! Will definitely be back again.
Bek had great, timely communication via text and email. Instructions were clear and correct. The description is accurate, this is a loft over a garage with the bathroom under the stairs. You do have to go outside to get to the bathroom, but that wasn't an issue. There is a mini-fridge now added, which was nice. We met Jes as we were packing up the car to head out and he made sure our stay went well. We were able to use Uber to get to and from dinner in Saint Helena, which worked perfectly. The town of Calistoga is within walking distance of the house and there are cute shops. We had a great stay!
We had a lovely few days staying at Bek's place. The location is really great - a short walk into the centre and a lovely bike ride from some gorgeous vineyards and scenery. The room itself is very sweet and comfortable. Bath robes are a nice touch.

Hi, I am Bek. My brother, Jes and I grew up in this house in Calistoga. Jes lives in the house full-time while my husband Dan and I live in San Francisco and are at the house several weekends a month, either taking some R&R or working on the house/guest house.
We all love everything that wine country has to offer: fine wine, gourmet food, relaxing spas, and beautiful scenery. We're looking forward to being Airbnb hosts so we can share all the great things about wine country with others.
