Very friendly and welcoming, Norah is a fantastic host. The room is warm and cosy and I immediately felt at home. The house has all the commodities and Norah made sure that everything was ready for a traveller just out of a plane to have the immediate necessities covered (food, towels...). I highly recommend.
I had a great time at Norah's! Her house is warm and friendly. Prices in Dublin are sky high at the moment and Norah's room provides an affordable, cosy option! Would highly recommend.
As Norah was away, I was greeted by her lovely friend Audrey, who made me feel very welcome and answered any questions I had. I was shown to a room that was large, comfortable and perfectly suited to my stay. The house itself was very cosy, with a lovely kitchen/dining room etc. The neighbourhood was fantastic, very quiet but also easily accessible by bus with a strip of shops a few streets over, and the beachfront was just a short walk away. I met other airbnb-ers that I am still in contact with, overall a FANTASTIC stay, and a perfect introduction to Dublin.
I had stayed with Norah before. So I already knew how lovely she is and how convenient her house is.
This time, though my arrival was a bit more complicated than usual, because I had to book the day before flying to Dublin, and my plane got SO late to destination, I had the most wonderful time staying at Norah's house. There are shops 5 minutes away from the house on foot, so I could cook myself some nice meals in the kitchen.
I had to go to Donnybrook or close to Stephen's green for work, never used the bus or the DART, both places were within 30 minutes on foot from Norah's house.
The room is lovely and the bed is very comfortable, really slept like a baby! There is also a very good WIFI in the house.
Unfortunately, Norah was away on holiday, so I could not enjoy her lovely company, but she left the house in the very good hands of her friend Audrey, who was taking great care of the guests.
Norah is a wonderful person, so interested in travellers, her house has the best "Airbnb" spirit a guest could dream of. I can only recommend.
Noras place is comfortable, clean and i had a great time there. Nora herself wasnt there but her friend gave us the key, which worked without any problems.
the bus is near the apartement and i could even park in front of the door without paying for it.
the center is reachable in a reasonable time but i especially loved the surrounding there. sandymount with its pubs, restaurants and its amazing beach is a great area to live in.
What a great stay I had at Norah's who extended the Irish welcome very well indeed! Nothing was too much trouble and Norah was always armed with information about Dublin and how to get to places. The house is in a great spot for getting into the city easily by train or bus, you can walk into Sandymount in about ten minutes to check out some great eateries, lovely park and some really friendly pubs, and Dublin Bay, of course! Norah has a very friendly and welcoming house. There were two other people staying there when I visited and as a solo traveller it was good to hook up with others - and watch England lose their second match in the World Cup down the pub with Rosie! Thanks Norah.
Norah was Lovely. The room we was so homey and Sandymount is the cutest villiage. It was our first day in ireland and it was a great place to begin our journey. Her Brown bread was to die for and the rest of the trip I couldn't find any bread that tasted as good.
