Interaction with Guests
I love Morelia and all that the surrounding area has to offer. If you wish, I can recommend my favourite places to see and even arrange excursions with an English-speaking driver. But you will also have all the privacy you desire; the house offers many peaceful areas to sit and relax, just as you wish. My living quarters are located onsite, and I am always available in the morning for breakfast and in the evenings.
Casa Xola is located in the heart of the historic district, only two blocks from the magnificent Cathedral, museums, and markets. Restaurants ranging from world-class cuisine to simple home cooking can be found right outside our door, as well as conveniences such as grocery stores and pharmacies.
Onsite parking is included in the price of your room. Taxis can be hailed directly in front of the house and bus routes are nearby. Our trusted English-speaking driver has reasonable rates and comfortable vehicles for excursions, local service, and airport or bus terminal transportation.
Other Things to Note
For the safety and security of all guests, only registered guests have access to Casa Xola. Friends known to you are welcome to visit, but strangers may not be invited in for security reasons.
Casa Xola is a home, and we ask that you respect the other guests with regards to noise and privacy. Smoking is allowed only on the rooftop in areas where it will not bother others.
Please check with me about bringing pets, which are allowed if they are small and well behaved. (There are already pets living here; Maki, a miniature poodle and three cats whom she considers her children!)
-Arleigh is a very experienced host. During our short stay, she asked us what we’d like for breakfast and we got exactly what we asked for, and more: a very nice breakfast with yogurt, lots of fresh fruit, granola, toast with artisanal bread, juice and coffee.
She has a super cute and cuddly dog and nice kitties.
Our room was very comfortable complete with extraordinarily comfortable bed and pillows, and nice decor. Very clean and lovely.
Every room have their own private bathroom.
There is a wonderful rooftop patio with lots of plants, shaded areas, comfortable seating, and a very nice view of the area.
We wish our stay was longer so we could continue exploring this fascinating city as the location is close to everywhere you need to go (by foot) in Morelia.
Arleigh's beautifully designed and decorated multi-room Oasis is a must for anyone visiting Morelia.
Arleigh has a beautiful home just a few block's walk from the main square in Morelia - an ideal location. I especially enjoyed spending evening hours in her spacious roof-top patio area with a view of the cathedral on one side and the countryside on the other.
I had a car, and Arleigh offered free parking in an enclosed garage next door to her residence - a great convenience.
And Arleigh's hospitality is exceptional.
Arleigh is lovely and so is her house! Really confortable bed, everything is very clean and beautiful, lovely furniture, really close to the main center plaza (4 min walking), fresh fruit and yummy things for breakfast, I would love to stay there again.

About the Host, Arleigh
I am a mother, grandmother, animal lover and am a passionate gardener. I love music, all kinds but LOVE classic rock. Dancing (salsa, ballroom, etc.) Design whether it be house or garden design is a passion of mine. I love Morelia and all the wonderful architecture here. And I love the warmth of Mexico, the climate is one thing but the people here are wonderful. I named my home Casa Xola because it means "stay in peace" and also 'an oasis'. It truly is that!
