This was one of the most fantastic AirBnB experiences that I've had so far. Lefre and her husband are truly wonderful and caring hosts, and they made me feel absolutely welcome during my weekend stay in Cork.
From the moment I pulled up in a taxi, Eamon came right outside the door to help me out of the rain with my luggage! They were knowledgeable about local transportation, great pubs, and life in Cork/Ireland in general. One of my favorite parts of the trip was chatting late into the evening over a nice glass of wine!
The room was great, as described. Adequate space for a solo traveler with a very comfy mattress and warm blanket. I woke up feeling refreshed every day, despite some jet lag!
About the area, it is about a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk from the city centre. I rented a car for the first few days, and there was free street parking on the weekends and holiday Monday. The walk into the city was pleasant and through a safe, residential neighborhood. There were a number of little places to grab food in the area as well.
I would highly recommend the room I stayed in for a solo traveler, and thanks for an amazing stay!
I had a very pleasant and relaxed stay, and felt very comfortable in the household.
I had an amazing 3-day stay with Lefre and Eamon. It was my first time using airbnb, and it was great!
The house is pretty and clean, location is good. Lefre and Eamon are both very enthusiastic and considerate, took great care.
Lefre's home is a great place to stay, i was made feel very welcome the moment i arrived, the room was perfect for a short stay, i would gladly recommend staying here.

About the Host, Lefre
I live with my husband and our dog (a rough collie, who looks like Lassie) in a house one mile from the main street in Cork City Centre. We're easy going and friendly, outgoing people. I'm a lawyer and my husband is a statistician. We love travel and have done a huge amount of it together, in all kinds of off-beat destinations. We're big fans of alternative comedy (George Carlin, Stewart Lee, Billy Connolly, Bill Maher). We love good food (Cork is great for this - it's a real gourmet capital with lots of artisan producers), like going for a drink, hanging out with friends and playing cards. I love music and have recently bought myself a guitar - I played music years ago, as a kid. I'm taking some lessons and it's my ambition for this year to learn how to play it properly:)
