The Space

We're in a very central (but quiet and residential) area.

We are situated one mile from Patrick Street, which is the main street in Cork - so 15 minutes walk from the dead city centre.

There is disc parking available in this area (2 euro disc for 2 hours parking), during business hours - Parking is free at evenings and weekends.

Our home is very convenient to everything and Cork is a great base for further exploring.

We're fifteen minutes drive from Cork Airport, fifteen minutes drive from the train station and about ten minutes drive from the bus station.

We have two spare double bedrooms and a single bedroom available.

Neither myself nor my husband smoke.
This is a non-smoking house.

We do have a dog - very cute and well behaved rough collie (she's 9).

  • I was living at Lefre’s and Eamonn’s House 3 weeks long while I was working for an internship. To stay at their house, was the best decision I ever made. They made me feel like home right away, because of their open minded, friendly and easy-going way. They always had good insider tips and helped me in any way. I even got invited to social events and was spending time with them and their friends. I can highly recommend their accommodation!

  • You can only have nice time with Lefre and Eamonn, they are very friendly and give to you tons of useful information about Cork and Ireland in general. Their home is really close to the city center (about 5 minuts walking) , the room was warm and cozy and the bathroom clean. Finally don't play chess with Eamonn is unbeatable!!!!!! :)

  • Eamon & Lefre have a lovely home, and are both very welcoming. My room was upgraded to Double as i was the only guest that weekend. Facilities were great and so was the company. I spent a few days in Cork, and their home is a great central base for getting to and from most locations.

Thanks Eamon & Lefre, hope to see you again in the new year.

  • Can't recommend Lefre and eamonn highly enough! They were the perfect hosts for a cold and wet traveller! Really appreciated them picking me up from the station and being offered a hot beverage afterwards. Had a great lively conversation and a crash course in Irish culture and history. The room was large, bathroom clean, and kitchen well stocked!

I would recommend them in a heart beat and invite them over to my own airbnb abode. Cheers!

  • I stayed with Lefre for a recent visit to Cork for a Jazz Festival concert. I had a comfortable bed on a quiet street with free weekend parking outside. Lefre was very friendly wirh a lovely shy dog who was no bother at all. It was an easy walk into town, passing the amazing Quay Co-op for food on the way. A great visit. Thanks Lefre.

I live with my husband and our dog (a rough collie, who looks like Lassie) in a house one mile from the main street in Cork City Centre. We're easy going and friendly, outgoing people. I'm a lawyer and my husband is a statistician. We love travel and have done a huge amount of it together, in all kinds of off-beat destinations. We're big fans of alternative comedy (George Carlin, Stewart Lee, Billy Connolly, Bill Maher). We love good food (Cork is great for this - it's a real gourmet capital with lots of artisan producers), like going for a drink, hanging out with friends and playing cards. I love music and have recently bought myself a guitar - I played music years ago, as a kid. I'm taking some lessons and it's my ambition for this year to learn how to play it properly:)
