Come stay at my Napa Valley "Heavenly Retreat"! It's beautiful all year round in the Napa Valley with wineries pouring their fabulous offerings
The warm weather makes it perfect to tour and taste with my local (optional) seasoned tour guide/driver. and then return home to relax and swim (April - November) in this serene, very private backyard garden with pool (and propane heaters at night) listening to birds singing, tree toads croaking, sipping wine and cheese while looking out on a view to a private vineyard. Or wake up to hot air balloons floating down valley while having your morning coffee/breakfast. It's a wonderful way to start the new day!
This bright and airy home with it's high ceilings is filled with light and is a perfect couples weekend (or weekday!) getaway destination to relax and enjoy winery touring, soaking in the Calistoga warm mineral pools, visiting museums (Hess Collection and numerous galleries), Oxbow Market, concerts, NV Opera house or partaking a decadent meal at one of Napa's remarkable restaurants (Tra Vigne, Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, Bottega, French Laundry, Bouchon, Ad hoc, Don Giovanni, Bistro Jeanty, Fish Story, Morimotos, etc).
Get a good night's rest in your very private guest room in the ample king-sized bed with high thread count Egyptian cotton linens, and a silk down comforter. Enjoy your private ensuite bathroom and wrap yourself in luxurious towels after a 'couples' shower. Your bedroom has cable TV, a docking station for your IPOD, and you can always access high speed WiFi . Possibility of renting the extra queen (open loft) suite with balcony and chairs overlooking the vineyard if you have another couple that wants to stay. The second couple (your friends) will be charged only $135 per night. You will need to share the one bathroom. And yes......wine and appetizers will be waiting for you when you arrive (as will my adorable and loving Akita therapy dog --- Kody!)
So, hit the 'book it' button and experience Napa Valley as you should and as the sign says in the guest room : "...and they all lived happily ever after".

Judith is a wonderful host. She event put See's chocolate on the pillows. Our only regret is that we did not have enough time to visit with her on our trip. Also her dog, Kodiak, is amazing!
Went to napa to spend the long weekend and staying at Judith's made it happen. Her house is beautiful and Judith was accommodating to all our needs! 5 stars airbnb!
Jb was a great host. Her accommodation was very comfortable and in great proximity to many of the best wineries and restaurants in the Napa Valley. She is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great recommendations as to wineries to visit (Hess winery and modern art collection was fantastic) and where to buy wines at a good price. She makes it very comfortable for you to feel relaxed and at home in her place, and she has a very cool dog that is super friendly. Thanks Jb for the enjoyable stay. We would love to return some time. Shawn and Shannon.
Our stay with Judith in her beautiful house was wonderful! She immediately made my partner and me feel at home, gave us wonderful recommendations for wineries and restaurants, and entertained with with amazing stories about her life and times. Returning to her house at the end of the day was remarkably like coming home to a favorite aunt, complete with favorite (and remarkable) dog. We had anticipated a great time in Napa, but it surpassed our expectations and even our imaginations, largely due to the lovely home and host. Thank you Judith!
What a delightful time we had at Judith's and Kodiak's!. The place was gorgeous and if you wake up early in the morning and walk to the patio you may have a very pleasant surprise.
We, two couples, had a wonderful long weekend in Napa at Judith's home. She was very welcoming and she added to the experience of our visit to Napa Valley. Will return again.
My husband and I spent 2 days here and loved every minute.
Judith greeted us with a hug , and her home is so beautiful and inviting. Her dog Kodiak is a big ball of love.
She even contacted a driver to take us around to the vineyards for tastings.
The whole experience was amazing.
We definitely will be back.
Judith is a warm and wonderful host. We had a relaxing and very enjoyable 2 night stay at her place. We enjoyed good conversations over healthy breakfasts, as well as with wine on the back patio by the pool, looking at a beautiful sunset over grapevines and the Napa hills in the distance.
Judith helped us with directions around Napa and recommended the perfect Mexican restaurant for us, Frida's. We loved meeting her dog, Kodiak, who is a most gentle and well-behaved dog.
We can’t speak highly enough of Judith and her lovely home in Napa! We spent 3 very memorable days there and loved every minute of it. Judith was a first class host and had a great way of making you feel like her home was yours. She gives you all the space you need but is also there if you fancy a chat and a some wine with her – we felt completely at home pretty much immediately. Having built the house herself (well, to her design and spec at least), it’s a great house, very sizeable with large rooms, the best shower I think I’ve ever been under and a beautiful garden with a large pool that is all yours to enjoy as well.
Nothing was too much trouble for Judith – everything from reserving cabs to advising us on where to eat. Judith clearly knows her stuff when it comes to all things food and wine and recommended some amazing restaurants. There is some SERIOUSLY good food in Napa!
Another major plus of staying with Judith was that we got to enjoy a fantastic day wine tasting with a personal contact of hers. Before we went to Napa, given we only had 3 days there, we were concerned how we’d ensure we got a good wine tasting tour that was value for money – given there was so much to choose from. However, Judith’s contact Jorge took my partner and I out (both very uneducated when it comes to wine!) for a great day visiting wineries and tasting rooms. He asked us what kind of wine we liked and tailored the tour to our tastes. He was extremely knowledgeable, great fun and let us go at our pace – when you feel like you’ve had enough you just let him know and he’ll drive you home. All this for a very reasonable $40 per hour!
This is also the place to go if you’re an animal lover (we are) as Judith has an incredible dog named Cody, a huge Japanese Arkita but a real ‘gentle giant’ (we fell in love with him!) and two great cats. If you’ve got kids, Judith explained that Cody is very, very placid around them also and told a couple of heart melting stories about how he likes ‘guard’ them outside their room!
If we ever visit Napa again there is no doubt we’d stay at Judith’s again.
Judith was fantastic and made our 2 day visit very enjoyable. She even booked us into restaurants for dinner both nights and recommended a great local designated driver so we could enjoy all that the wine region offers.
We couldn't recommend staying with her highly enough. If you are visiting Napa, definitely highly recommend staying here. The pool was beautiful too at just the right temperature. Her place was beautiful, comfortable and clean.
