The space
The house is completely traditional but has been adapted to European standard and taste.

There are two bedrooms, very comfortable double beds (sleeps 4) with mosquito nets, fans and shelves.

A living area with sofa and coffee table opens to the kitchenette facing the sea. It has a functional kitchenette with a two ring gas cooker, a fridge and a sink, crockery and cutlery and a small breakfast bar.

There is a wet room with a hot shower and a hand wash basin, and a separate toilet.

You can enjoy wide panoramic sea & island views from the beautiful 36 sq meters partially covered sea deck. There is a table and built in bench, two lounge chairs and hammocks.

Guest access
The house is fully equipped for 4 people, all household linen and towels are supplied and electricity, water and WIFI connection are included in the price.

We supply a large 25 litre bottle of drinking water to refill the one in the fridge.

We also provide toilet paper, a new sponge, dishwashing liquid, soap and sometimes shampoo or groceries left over from previous guests.

Other things to note
Koh Lanta is a “very laid back”, natural island that has not been too spoilt yet!

Things to do:

Hire our neighbor’s long tail boat and spend an incredible day snorkeling around deserted islands or a kayak to get to the beautiful beach on the little island just across the bay.

Visit the mysterious mangroves with all its wild life, monkeys, buzzards and all sorts of wild orchids.

Take a cooking class a Mon's close by or chill out at Patou's charming bar and restaurant, four doors away.

Buy fresh fish from our neighbours who fish locally or sit at their lovely evening BBQ. Eat delicious cheap food at the numerous surrounding village restaurants.

Take a trip to the West coast, just 15 minutes away by car or scooter , long sandy beaches, restaurants , hotels and bars, a total contrast to the East coast.

To access Lanta you can take a boat from Phuket or Krabi, ( 2 or 4 hours), or by road with the minibus and the car ferry (either from the bus stations, in town or from the airport). The minivans will drop you at the house, if you take the boat, you must then take a taxi from the pier to the house.

Enjoy this wonderful contact with nature and just relax !

Ko Lanta Yai, Krabi, Thailand

The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. It is in the less busy part of Old Town, the "residential" area. Yet a 10mn stroll will get you to the main road in town. And you still have a few restaurants and shops right by.

Everyone seems to go to bed early so you are alone on the deck with the most incredible sky of stars, and not a noise.

Restaurants in Old Town:

“Caoutchouc” (a few houses to the left), family BBQ (a few houses down to the right), "Sea Side” (on the main street for lunch), "Fresh" restaurant (on the main street open a bit later a night).

Shops:
All the local shops are along the street (clothes and handicrafts, jewellry, groceries, etc).

There are now many coffee shops around Old Town serving fresh coffee.

Market in Old Town is on Sunday mornings open until 1.00pm.

In March you have the' Laanta Lanta Festival' when the whole island turns out to party, eat and drink. There are many musical events, Thai and European, and it is great fun to meet the local people.
