The Space

Lovely and sunny studio on a 5th floor in a historical building with high ceiling and a beautiful balcony overlooking the famous Barberini Square and the fountain of Tritone.

Located in one of the safest areas of Rome, the apartment is just few steps away from all the major attractions such as the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain.

The apartment is really central and very well connected; it is just outside the Metro stop BARBERINI.

The apartment can comfortably accommodate two persons, and is perfect for the couple looking for a prestigious apartment in the center of the city.

The apartment is very sunny and composed of a large room with master bed, sofa (sofa-bed), table, bathroom (big shower),kitchen corner, balcony, washing machine ( laundry room). There is not an elevator in this building.

The apartment is provided with a new powerful and modern air-conditioning system and high-speed WiFi Internet access.

  • Listing exactly as specified. Very tidy, clean flat in a very central location. Balcony was a good feature and also the air conditioning worked very well as it can get hot!
We arrived past midnight due to flight delays, but Alessandro met us late to give keys which was very helpful.

  • We enjoyed five days in sunny Rome, for a conference and some sight seeing and this flat was perfectly situated, 5 minutes walk to the Trevi fountain and 5 minutes the opposite way to the Spanish steps. A useful small supermarket 3 minutes walk, and the rest of Rome all accessible on foot.
We took train from the airport to Rome Termini station, then metro A for two stops to Barberini, 100yards from the flat. Alessandro met us at the bottom of the stairs on arrival, was very helpful with advice, and kindly carried our bag up the 5 flights. We got used to the stairs, which allowed us to justify an occasional ice cream. Air con and internet worked well, sofa and bed (website hidden) I think showed only Italian stations, which was good for language development.
The balcony was a bit narrow and vertiginous for me to enjoy for more than a peep at the view, but the flat was a bright, sunny, welcoming refuge from the busy city, and the double glazing effectively kept out the noise of traffic below. We enjoyed cooking small meals and there were very helpful supplies of basics like salt and oil as well as reviving little cakes for our arrival.
We were sorry to leave both the flat and Rome.

  • Alessandro was very friendly and helpful when we arrived - he's a really nice chap. He provides a useful booklet of recommended local places to eat, etc. - we had our best meal at one of these.

The apartment was exactly as advertised, and very clean and tidy. It's perfectly located to enjoy everything that Rome has to offer. Being so central, it's obviously going to be a little noisy with the windows wide open, so we were pleased to find that the air conditioning is effective, as is the double glazing. We didn't have any trouble sleeping soundly.

It's up on the fifth floor, so would not suit the elderly or terminally lazy so well, but we didn't find it a problem. Well worth it for the balcony, sunshine and the location, anyway. ;-)

  • The apartment was great. It was a perfect location for us. It is conviently located next to a lot of great restaurants and a short walk to a lot of tourist attractions. We loved having the balcony to relax and enjoy a glass of wine on after a long day of site seeing in Rome. Alessandro was great. He came right over to meet us with keys as soon as we arrived in Rome. He had prepared information about the area. There were even some tourist information videos provided. Everything was very well organized. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was a great value. We would definitely recommend staying at Alessandro's apartment.

  • Studio was nice, airy and sunny. Was a very pleasant reward after a long day of walking around Rome. Super close to the Spanish steps and the Trevi Fountain as well as a metro stop that was just two stops to the Termini. It really is perfect place if you are visiting Rome for the first time. Great host.

  • We absolutely loved this apartment! It had everything we needed after a long hot day in Rome - air conditioning, modern kitchen, washing machine, and nice couch/seating area. The place was steps away from the Barberini metro stop and an easy walk to the Trevi fountain/Spanish steps. Check-in was easy and fast. This was the most organized AirBnb place we've stayed at, with a well laid out notebook with tips, maps, etc. and even a DVD catalogue. We had a great time in Rome and would stay at Alessandro's place again.

  • * Location: The apartment is located very close to the metro system and close to most of the quick tourist haunts. Close to some nice restaurents (email hidden): Alex was very friendly and met us at the train station. Communication was quick and effective.
    * Amenities: Everything was clean. Lovely little balcony and french windoors overlooking the street.
The profile pictures are not the same as we experieced it, but rather disapointingly sparse with no paintings on the wall, or comfy arm chairs. The washing machine was located in a broom closet which was messy and we had to move stuff for access.
The apartment is a 5th floor walkup, is located on the top most floor of the building; an issue if you are older, handicapped, have luggage or not in shape. It was not an issue for us but I think this should be mentioned in the apartment profile.

I think most of the issues were minor and I would visit this place again.
Thank you for letting us rent your apartment.
