Our place is in a gorgeous, quiet, and safe neighborhood in the Santa Barbara Riviera district. It is truly a fantastic central location with very little through traffic, yet just minutes drive or nice walk to downtown State Street (1 mile), premier dining and shopping, the Santa Barbara Bowl (0.9 miles), the Courthouse (0.9 miles) the Mission and Rose Gardens (0.7 miles), and multiple neighborhood parks (0.5 miles). This is a wonderful area to unwind, take a walk, or enjoy a glass of wine on your patio.
We are a short drive or walking distance to many places or you can jump on the bus at our neighborhood stop just three block away.

Other Things to Note
Bathroom is stocked with clean towels, hair dryer, and selection of individual shampoo, conditioner, lotion, sewing kit, etc. for your convenience. Please use hair dryer provided, as outside electrical appliances can cause the circuit to break.
This is a quiet, residential area, so please be mindful of the noise, if staying out/arriving late.
Andy's Garden Studio was in a great neighborhood and was beautifully kept. The studio was clean and welcoming. Andy left a bottle of wine to welcome us, which was a nice touch. We were not greeted when we arrived but were given instructions via text on how to access the space. This was fine by us. The issue came when we were going to sleep. Because this is a studio on the ground level, with the main house above, we could hear every word, footstep and dog paw in the entire house. It was extremely loud (and I am a SOUND sleeper). Also, important to mention, this lasted from about 11:00pm (when we arrived back from the concert we were traveling for) until about 12:30am when we finally banged on the ceiling a couple of times. At that point, the noise was less extreme but still very audible. Just know that if you plan to stay here, you MUST be deaf or bring some industrial strength earplugs. Otherwise you will most definitely be sleep deprived come morning.
The location was great. 5 minutes driving to state st. The apartment was very clean however if you are a light sleeper you will have a tough time sleeping because you hear every footstep that is made on the floor a above. Great neighberhood.
Loved this studio! Convenient location - short walk or drive to downtown - and cute, quiet setting. Ceilings are definitely low, as a few people have noted, but I found everything to be exactly as advertised. Andy made check-in easy, and I was greeted by a nice bottle of wine, which was thoughtful. Definitely would recommend this studio if you're looking for a place that's quiet and inexpensive (by SB standards).
The location was great. We had a wonderful time in Santa Barbara! The space isn't so great on the other hand-- it's listed as a "Studio apt", which isn't really accurate. No kitchen area, hot plate or microwave. With that being said, the listing probably should say "bachelor pad", or something along those lines. The noise was horrific. You could literally hear every conversation being had but the people that lived upstairs. The room that we stayed in was literally an old storage space semi converted to a bedroom. The mattress is fine if you go winetasting beforehand. The nights you don't go wine-tasting, the mattress is not so good! Previous occupants had also mentioned the ceilings were low but I really didn't realize how low. I kept hitting my head on the shrubbery over the door and had to duck if I tried wearing any type of heel.
My least favorite thing about the space had to be the bugs. There's no weather strip on the front door so I literally saw about 12 different species of bugs during our stay. When it came time to check out, there was a plaque on the desk that said: "if you need to check out any later or to get a hold of anyone, contact the number provided and ask for Jonathan". We did that and Jonathan is not overseeing the property and that contact # was not current. Upon requesting the space, we had to wait 24 hours until another guest did or did not confirm; that was a bit of headache as well. If you don't have much planned for a trip to Santa Barbara and you're fairly easy going and just want to kick it at the beach this is probably a good spot for you. If you like to go by a schedule or prefer a more tidy environment, this might not be the room for you!
Very cosy quiet neighborhood ... Andy was great vibes were good and it had everything you could possibly need !
Great little studio apartment, and it was perfect for the weekend! Loved the location since it was a quick 20 minute walk through the neighborhood to all the great restaurants downtown.
