We had a wonderful stay at Chris' studio! Very accurate description, clean, comfortable and Chris was a pleasure to communicate with and a thoughtful host. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!
My wife and I really enjoyed staying in Chris's unit. We felt that this apartment was a great value for the price, and it was conveniently located within a short distance from downtown Chicago. We would certainly recommend this location for anyone who is looking to stay in Chicago anytime soon.
Our stay at the coachhouse was very relaxing. I loved all the natural light that came in through the skylights in the mornings and the bed was super comfy, though watch your head if you sleep against the wall...we had a few bumps! Hehe.
The neighborhood felt safe as it was mostly residential homes but I wouldn't recommend wandering around too much because west side Chicago pushes up right on Oak Park.
You really can't beat this place for the price. It's only a quick $13 Lyft ride into downtown and there is a Dunkin Doughnuts on the corner where you can get sustenance before a day of walking and exploring the city. Compare that to the hundreds of dollars per night you would spend to stay IN the city and it's a no brainer. Coachhouse for the win.
Also, Chris was a very nice host. She made herself available to us when we had questions but was scarce the rest of the time which was just fine by us as we were never really home!
The studio is exactly as pictured and described. It is very comfortable and well-equipped and was spotlessly clean on arrival. The neighbourhood is very quiet and suburban (but only about half an hour from the Loop on the L train). I felt very safe as a single woman, including walking back from the station on my own at night.
Chris was always quick to respond to messages, and provided lots of helpful information in advance of my arrival. There is also a useful pack of information in the studio - about Chicago, the local neighbourhood and the studio itself.
I had a great time in Chicago, and would definitely recommend the Coachhouse as a place to stay.
Very nice space in an excellent neighborhood! Great accommodations, so many little details thought of, especially the free parking. Very clean yet quite small with the slanted walls. Chris is great, very friendly and welcoming!
Fantastic studio- tidy and well equipped - Chris seemed really nice and was very helpful giving us tips and advice on what to do and where to go etc. The studio is in a lovely neighbourhood and a really peaceful environment away from the hectic ness of Of the city centre but close enough to pop in easily.
