We didn't meet Eric or anyone else but everything was ready when we got here and the apartment was exactly as described. As said in some of the previous comments, the pipes are a bit noisy but we enjoyed the fact the apartment is well heated. The neighborhood is quiet and the subway is only a few minutes away so we didn't have the impression of being too far from Manhattan as I first feared. I gladly recommend this place!
We were delighted with the apartment. It was really well set up for guests and the sun streaming in the windows was a real treat during
the cold snap in NY. We'll definitely be back!

I had a very enjoyable stay at Eric's Urban Jungle. Eric was hospitable from the very beginning and went out of his way to make sure I has a comfortable and pleasant stay. He cares very much that his guests do feel at home and he really is a wonderful host. I had some concerns about there being no lock on the apartment door and even after being assured that no-one except myself could enter the building, Eric took it upon himself to personably fit a locking barrel to the apartment door. I meant him briefly when I left the apartment one day and found him clearing the snow from the steps of the stoop! As for the apartment, it is a very good side for two people with a separate room each and the main bedroom has a large amount of storage in the wardrobe. The kitchen is well stocked with all you'd need. It is bright and airy and a good place to base yourself. I read previous reviews which mentioned the neighbourhood being less than desirable. I would disagree. We had no problems at all and in fact all the people we passed on our street greeted us. I never felt like I needed to rush inside and "barricade" myself in. As a female, I had no qualms walking the neighbourhood alone or walking back from the nearby Halsey station. Though there are limited dining choices in the neighbourhood (though do try Manny's and Peaches) having Halsey station a few minutes walk away makes for easy commute to Williamsburg and Manhattan. Thanks for a great stay Eric.
We were at the Urban Jungle for 11 days and the apartment exceeded my expectations completely. It is super cozy, comfortable, super clean, the kitchen supplies are exactly what you need and the smell is beautiful, what you see on the pictures is exactly what you get! Also, the location of the Urban Jungle is very wise cause is really close to the subway and a very timely bus circulates through the street.
Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to meet Eric but he was incredibly helpful, he is an excellent host even from far away. It honestly was a super nice experience to stay there and i look forward to go back and visit the Jungle once more!!
Tout comme Eric, le logement est très accueillant. La déco et les aménagements lui donnent un coté vivant très agréable. Pour une première expérience, nous avons été conquis. Un quartier calme et pourtant assez proche du métro. Pas de fausse note!
Eric's Urban Jungle was excellent- a comfy cozy place to come back to during some of the coldest days in NYC this season. It was very homey.
What a great space. Everything was clean and neat. The bed was super comfortable, and the heater worked very well. It was 9 degrees in New York when I was there. So I really enjoyed being indoors with the heat. Check in was smooth and Eric was very helpful and available. I would definitely recommend the space!5 stars easy.
