Our cosy spot on the second story of a house on the Northside has a big kitchen, skylights, and hardwood & terra-cotta floors. Quiet private room with twin bed, access to backyard, kitchen, & shared bath. Less than 5 min to UM Hospital and 10 to the Stadium. Breakfast included.
Our home is situated between U of M's central & North campuses, with easy access to a bus to either one, as well as to the Main St/downtown area. It's quick walk to the charming Kerrytown area of farmer's markets, coffee shops, and Zingermann's Deli. I work right downtown, a 10 minute bike ride if weather permits. This would be the perfect spot for a visiting prospective student! We are both very familiar with the area & love to show people the best Ann Arbor has to offer-- we're right by the nature trails that follow the Huron River as well as the great restaurants & shops downtown.
Note: this listing is for a single bed, best suited for a solo traveler!
My husband and I share the other bedroom and will be here while you stay here. We're both very friendly, happy to provide directions and help you get to know the town or to give your your privacy if you're tuckered out from traveling. We both love to cook, and if we're home we almost always make home-cooked breakfasts that you're welcome to join! We'll make sure you have yogurt & granola or eggs & toast in the fridge if we're not here to cook.
Note: Neither of us have a smartphone, so if you don't hear back from us right away, we are probably just at work and haven't gotten home to check our e-mail yet! I do have a cellphone that you can use to get in touch with me more quickly after you make your reservation.
Hi! This is a fantastic place to stay, especially if you want to stay in a true home. Both Jenneva and Elliot were fantastic hosts. The spacious room had a calm aura of hardwood floors and nice bedding. The bathroom was clean and functional with a throw-back vibe appropriate to a historic house, making me think of the 70's and 80's--in a good way. A bus to Ann Arbor is convenient and the hosts provided a very helpful bus schedule to help me get around. Good people, good vibe, good place to stay in a residential neighborhood.
Jenneva and Elliott were fantastic hosts - they are such lovely people and looked after me really well. The house was lovely and cosy and the bedroom was airy and comfortable. Also they are both great cooks! I couldn't recommend this place more
Very clean, very quiet room in a college town. The house is quite close to campus, and just across the river from the hospital. They have a wonderful bed and breakfast style of hosting.
Also, their shower had the greatest water pressure I've ever experienced!
Jenneva and Elliott are great hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. I had a wonderful stay!
A very nice couple, in a very nice and cosy place. Thank you for making my stay so nice, and for all the nice discussions and food we shared together!
Very nice room, quiet, warm, good light, comfortable bed. Great host and hostess, friendly and caring.
Quiet neighborhood, very flexible and welcoming hosts, incredibly convenient to UM hospitals/medical center, and a very comfy bed.
Jenneva and Elliot were amazing hosts and cooks! At the last minute, their were some complications with their radiator but they quickly provided me with a space heater for my room. This was not an issue at all for me. My room stayed very warm during my stay. They even drove me to my U of M audition and bus stop to the airport since they knew how difficult it would be trying to get around in the cold and snow. Thanks again for the all the hospitality!
This was my first experience with Airbnb. Jenneva and Elliot were great hosts; very helpful and kind. Their place was clean, location was perfect; close to downtown and only 8 minutes away from my conference at the Sheraton. Thanks for a great experience in A2!
