Things to do: you can take train to 2nd street station to explore the tourist area's of the city. Walking towards 10th & walnut you can head North to Chinatown, and or Reading Terminal Market. From there you can check out Love Park at 15th & JFK with a view down Ben Franklin Parkway of Art Museum along with other museums. At this point you can go back south to Rittenhouse Square @ 18th & Walnut or continue up the Parkway. Anything specific please ask. i,e, one guest loved vinyl records so I told him about a few shops in town.

  • It was convenient to be very close to the metro station. The room is very simple. Glenn and Xin were not here and their assistant opened the door for me. However, I would have appreciated to get a towel and a soap for the shower. Overall, for one night, it was fine as a student.

  • The closeness of Glenn and Xin's place to the EL was great. In 20 mins.or less Center City was easy to get to. The house was comfortable an I loved the dog, Turbo n their cat,Jr. You cannot tell pets live there because of how immaculate the house is kept. No stray hairs or litterbox odor at all! Glen was very helpful in directions and knowledge of the goings-on of Philly. Do take a moment to look at the unique photos hanging about that he took.

  • Glenn is a very nice host and Lu really did a good cook when I arrived, hungry and tired. There is a dog and a cat in Glenn's house. Both of them are cute and friendly. The house is clean and everything is ready. The place is next to the metro station and is very convenient. 100 bravos!!!

  • The apartment was nice and clean, and was just steps away from the metro station which would have you in central Philly in 15 minutes or so. The neighbourhood itself is interesting, and at times may get the adrenaline pumping - I enjoyed exploring but would certainly understand if others didn't. Nonetheless, this place is all about value and transport proximity, for which I'd strongly recommend it.

  • Had a short but sweet visit with Glenn. He's a good host and his place is a terrific value conveniently located by the septa train.

  • Glenn was a very gracious host. When I forgot my towel at home, he was happy to provide another one. For anyone who needs easy access to the Philadelphia Convention Center, this the perfect location!! The train is right across the street and it is about a 20 minute ride right to the Convention Center (no transfers needed). Would definitely stay here for my next Philly convention.

  • Covenient location and great price for a quick visit to Philly. Room was pretty simple, but Glenn made good coffee in the morning and offered a simple breakfast. Everything you could need!

  • Glenn was fantastic about communication and had everything ready to go. Fantastic value! Might not be for families or super light sleepers but fir me it was great! Like going to a hostel but with your own room (and much nicer general room and kitchen)

I am a architect designer, whose expertise is in architecture, historic preservation, + build and I also offer consultant service. I also renovate distressed urban property, to drive urban renewal in blighted neighborhoods. Xin is a talented graphic designer and has designed graphics for various companies in China. She is currently pursuing a masters degree in art education. When traveling we always use airbnb. We recently had memorable time at a charming hutong in Beijing China and a high rise in the heart of Hong Kong. We love great food, and travel. We relax with a picnic in a park with a book, or in bed with a movie on a Sunday evening. I can't live without my camera, and must have it with me at all times when traveling. Xin loves to read and will usually have a book on her iPad.
