About this listing
Hi! I'm renting out a room in my two-room apartment in Nørrebro. It's a quite place right in the heart of trendy and multicultural Nørrebro neighbourhood. The room has been kept in its original style, which means wooden panels and cool details.
The apartment has been kept in its original style, which means wooden panels and cool details. There is a small homey kitchen, which you're free to use. There are two rooms with a double bed in one of them. Also, remember to check out my personalised guidebook :)
If you're interested, there's the option of renting a bike for 8 euros per day.
There's wifi, a kicthen, washing machine, dish-washer and parking in the street. If you're in a car, be careful about how you park, since the parking attendants are quite strict (no parking on corners or outside the yellow lines).
Interaction with Guests
I travel a lot, so often a good friend of mine, Sofus, will give you the key and sit down with you to give some tips on Copenhagen. There is also a guide book from the Danish publisher "Politiken". There's also the Lonely Planet guide on Copenhagen.
Nørrebro is Copenhagen's Kreuzberg. It is a vibrant and multicutural area of Copenhagen only 10 minutes away from the city centre on bike.
Trendy bars and small designer shops lie next door to local wine bars, dodgy dive bars and cheap kebab places. Very near Jægersborggade with coffee shops and art poster shops. Guldbergsgade with interior design shops and clothing. And Blågårdsgade with vintage clothing and great bars.
Very good music scene - with legendary Rust and underground rock/tech club Drone just 5 minutes away.
Lots of opportunity for food lovers with restaurants serving Thai, Caribbean, African, Italian and of course Danish traditional food.
You can also hang out in the green areas of Nørrebro Park and the old Assistens Cementary.
The apartment is 3 min. walk from Nørrebros Runddel, which connects to all areas of the city.
If you're arriving from the airport, you simply take the metro (yellow line M2) and get off at Nørreport. Then take bus 5A to Nørrebros Runddel. From there it's a five minutes walk to the apartment. In a taxi it'll be around 30 min from the airport and the price will be 29 Euro.
Other Things to Note
The shower is a little basic, which means that there is not a separate shower cabin in the bathroom. The shower head simply hangs on the bathroom wall and we'll show you how it works, though most people easily figure it out :)
Internet: You can find the name of the wifi on this page or on the cupboard in the kitchen :)
I'm pretty flexible and want you to feel at home, but no pets, partying or loud music allowed.
Malte was really flexible with check-in time as we late for 3h from the original plan.
Flat is really quiet and nicely located. We used mainly über and walked, so can't say anything about the public transportation...
It's a neat flat with all the essentials. We didn't stay too much in the flat as Copenhagen really is a city to keep on roll!
All good! :))
Our stay at Malte's was exceptional. He was a very friendly and interesting host. Malte's friend, Sofus, gave us a great introduction to Copenhagen and we managed to complete almost all his suggestions. If you are interested in great food, interesting shops and lush parks, then this apartment is in the perfect neighbourhood. We loved Norrebro and found its history very interesting. If you are an avid reader, Malte has an impressive book shelf that I must admit I examined a few times. We had a great stay and would return to his apartment when we go back to Copenhagen.
Malte & Sofus's welcome was perfect and the apartment is as described: simple, clean, near every interesting places by bike and in an edgy area. Props to them for fulfilling our requests fast and swiftly. Great trip all around, will definitely come back there if i ever have the luck to come back to CPH!
Was met by Maltes friend as he was out of town. He was very friendly & helped me get my bearings and gave some good recommendation of things to see and places to eat.
The flat is in a vibrant neighbourhood with some really cool places to eat and drink nearby. Its 10 mins from the centre by bus but I can't recommend any stronger how much better it is to hire a bike instead.
The flat is spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is more of a wet room with shower over the sink whch might not be everyones cup of tea but was no problem at all for me for a 3 night stay. Would definitely recommend to others. Thank you Malte!
Malte was a great host. Communication was excellent and Malte was so nice to really make sure we were comfortable.
The apt is situated in a very cool neighborhood that feels residential. It was nice to come back to after a long day. Transport is super easy if you need the bus or metro. If you can bike, do it! We also walked most of the time and it takes 20-30 minutes to city center. There are some amazing restaurants 10-15 minutes away too.
I am so glad I stayed here and not exactly in city center. I really got to go to the local hot spots and really experience the city not just the touristy things.
Malte was a great host! The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood, but you're still in a great area to get to all the major sites easily. We ended up walking everywhere since everything was in such close proximity to the apartment. The apartment was really clean and there is a lot of natural light that comes into the main room through the large windows in the front. Malte was also really helpful with giving us recommendations on things to see and do in Copenhagen. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and Copenhagen is a beautiful city.
Perfect location to see beautiful Copenhagen, having access to bikes makes it all the better to see the city.
Not often you have a host meet you and explain the area and sights - a really personal touch that helps hugely with a short visit!
