    Great coffee, nice staff and good atmosphere. Theres wifi and refill. Remember to try the rye cake. Just around the corner from the apartment.

    Good and cheap sushi place. You can order 8 pieces for 68 kr. or 12 pieces for 88 kr. The suchi is made fresh, so there is a bit of waiting. But its worth it!

    This place specialises in the traditional Danish open sandwich. On dark rye bread you get all the traditional toppings; smoked salmon, brie, roast-beef - often decorated with asparagus, lemon, etc.

    Denmarks most famous cemetery, which doubles as a park. Buy a cup of coffee or a beer and stroll into the green areas. You can find the graves of HC Andersen and philosopher Kiergaard.

    A brilliant, tiny bar with great service. Its run by a really friendly young guy. Homemade furniture, great coffee and reasonable priced alcohol in the evening. The food is ok, but not amazing.

    Very cool shop with a great mix of leather bags, art photos, pencil art, fashion clothing, jewellery, vintage watches. Its one step down in an open basement, but still very bright.

    Legendary music club - a vital live music and clubbing scene for those who prefer their night out a bit off the mainstream. Admission on Friday and Saturday approx. 60 DKK (sometimes more).

    Grillen is definitely the best burger joint on Nørrebro! Cozy, local atmosphere and juicy meat. Get a burger + fries + dip for 89 DKK. Their milkshakes are good as well.

    See the city from the water and the canals. Starting from Nyhavn the boat takes you along the Amsterdam-inspired canals. There are two boat companies; DFDS Canal Tours and Nettobådene.

    Why see it: Its a nice fairy tale, she had head head cut of twice, its the national symbol, its a nice stroll in the harbour area. Why not see it: Its tiny + lots of people taking photos.
  • Harbour boat - sightseeing + podwalk

    Take the harbour boat all the way down to Sluseholmen. Used by locals as part of the public transport system. Download a great podwalk for the trip (website hidden)

    Refshaleøen is an old, abandoned industrial area, great for alternative biking.
  • Christiania

    The freetown is a must see for its unique atmosphere. Remember to set aside time for walking along the water. For breakfast or lunch ask for Morgenstedet. For dinner check out Spiseloppen.
