Just how far away the house is from Puerto Plata is clearly indicated in the advert (which, I have to admit, is currently available in French only, which is soon to be changed). As regards having to go down a stair, I'm not exactly sure what people might be expecting in this context: an elevator, maybe? When it comes to the food, it seems obvious that the refrgirator and stove aren't functioning when nobody is at home. Visitors should indeed warn us of their estimated time of arrival, that's just common sense and courtesy. Ditto for the water. Finally, I'd like to reiterate that the kitchen is not *dirty*; this house is located on a beach, and salty sea air has unavoidable corrosive effects on metallic equipments. We always make sure everything is as up to standards as possible, but we can't possibly make a complete renovation between two tenants. Regarding the housekeeper, it is pretty clear that why he has to stay at the house: remember that having him there is what gives our tenants safety, a clean beach, and a variety of services.
