Al's place was a wonderful spot to start our Hawaii vacation. The grounds were beautiful and the view was lovely. Despite being a working farm, it felt very private even with others staying downstairs. The place was clean and had a super comfortable bed, and came with all the things one would want for a trip to the beach. It is also was so convenient for all of the activities that we wanted to try. Definitely recommended!
The property was absolutely beautiful with stunning views. A short walk up the hill you could grab a cup of coffee from UCC. At night you could hear the wildlife come alive.
The house was beauifully presented. it is ideal for a relaxed break in Kona.
The location on the hill overlooking the town was great. Would book again.
This is our third stay at Albert's Coffee Farm Retreat. The fact we keep coming back should say a LOT. The magic of lying in bed and gazing out at Kailua-Kona's twinkling lights is irresistible. Even though there was a fair bit of rain this time - as it should be this time of year: this is Hawaii's wet season, and they needed the rain - the magic is always there. Your soul feels an immediate release from all tension the minute you sink your bare feet into the lush grass surrounding the house... this place eloquently says "Aloha Nui Loa" to both the returning Kama`aina and visitor alike.
Hier anzukommen gleicht der Ankunft im Paradies. Ein wundervoller Ort, um sich rundum wohlzufühlen und aufzutanken
The coffee farm residence does not disappoint. It is every bit as lovely as the pictures, and is situated on a lush hillside with a spectacular view of Kona and the ocean. Just a short drive to downtown Kona, and a wonderful place to simply relax and enjoy the surroundings. We stayed for a week, touring the island on most days, and found this to be the ideal home base. Very well equipped with everything from beach gear to a fully-utensiled kitchen. The bedrooms are spacious and well-separated, and each has its own private bath, so it's very easy for a family to live comfortably here. We also found that the altitude resulted in a ideal temperature while we were there (mid-April), with cool nights for sleeping and warm sunlight hours. Great views in all directions. It was so nice to be surrounded by foliage and coffee plantations, rather than side-by-side with condos. It was evident that much personal thought and work had gone toward making this house great, and it was fun to share in the results. Thanks, Al, for a great stay. We'd love to come back.
