Interaction with Guests
My house has three private rooms available, where guests and myself share the two bathrooms and the kitchen. I travel and work at my studio often, so sometimes you may not see me around, sometimes when I am out of town or on a project I also have my bedroom (at the front of the house) available for BnBers. However I am always a quick phone call or message away with any question you may have, and my friend Isabel who helps me clean can assist when I'm out of town with any issues at my home.
I Live in the Historic "Bywater Neighborhood" Close to the "French Quarter/Bourbon St." Downtown and the Historic Marigny Neighborhood/Frenchman Street
A safe area where everyone looks out for one another, with families and young entrepreneurs dotting the area with eclectic bars, eateries and shops.
There are several good restaurants, the "St. Claude Art Galleries", and the Mississippi River. A couple more blocks and you're at Two of the most popular coffee shops in town, Even more amazing restaurants, vintage shops, 24hr health food grocery, and many local destinations! Our house is a calm and beautiful ride along the Mississippi 1.5 miles to the French Quarter down beautiful South Peters Ave.
Commonly sought after attractions within 1.5 miles of our house are: Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, French Quarter, Louis Armstrong Park, French Market, Spotted Cat, Cafe Negril, Blue Nile, The Maison, Apple Barrel, Coop's Place, Mardi Gras Zone, Mimi's in the Marigny, All Ways Lounge, and the Bywater, Marigny, 7th Ward, and Treme neighborhoods.
I recommend using our Free bikes to get around the area, New orleans is a small enough city geographically you can get virtually anywhere by a short bike ride! there is also a Public bus up and down St Claude Ave (88 bus) that takes you down and along the north end of the "French Quarter" As well as the (5 bus) that takes you through the Bywater and Marigny Neighborhoods to Frenchman street and the lower portion of the French Quarter
*a note on the bikes:
The bikes are FREE so they are not the fanciest of rides. Mainly geared toward the travelers who are down for an adventure, and aren't expecting a Lexus, they're more like an old Toyota (strong guts, but moody) But we love them, they have their quirks, and they get a lot of use. Please, if you are not used to working with a used "get around town bike" than consider renting a bike from one of the many lovely rentals around town. (Gerkins, Bicycle Michaels, or Crescent City Bike Tours)
Other Things to Note
No pets for allergy concerns, Thanks!

and THANK YOU for staying with us!
We stayed in the Emerald Palace room for 2 nights.
We didn't really spend much time there other than for sleeping, but it was clean and comfortable. It is an easy approx. 10min bus ride from the French Quarter on the 88 bus line.
We didn't get the chance to use the bikes (or even have a look at them) because we were busy doing other things, but I think having them available is a nice feature.
We had a good breakfast one morning at Satsuma, a funky café in the Bywater which was a short stroll away, and recommended by Andrew in his 'zine.
The only downside was that we tried to contact Andrew by text while we were there and didn't get a response. Fortunately it wasn't urgent or critical, but it would have been nice to hear back from him. Maybe he was out of town? Communication leading up to our stay was good.
We had a fantastic time at Andrew's home. The house was full of local and international travelers who were very kind and quiet. Just a mile walk or 15 min bike ride away from the French Quarter, we had time to sight see and experience the local fares. I loved that the House of Sweet Dreams was walking distance from a local food co-op, BJ's a local blues joint, and a cool LGBTQ friendly bar All The Ways. This was a dope spot, I look forward to staying in his Air BNB located near City Park.
Andrew's place was so great! The bed was comfortable, the bikes were open for use, and there was even food in the kitchen to make pancakes in the morning. Overall great experience, loved NOLA and I loved my stay at Andrew's. Didn't really see him in person except for one time briefly, but we had our own entrance and keys and everything, it was a nice trip.
It was a great house! Everything was easy and clean. The bikes were sooo helpful, and the neighborhood was perfect for getting to the chill spots quickly. Thnxoxo
Great experience and all of the guest were great! The bed was comfortable and I really liked bike riding through the neighborhood and to the French Quarters. Thanks!
Beautifully decorated bedroom and bathroom, kitchen, safe neighborhood, very different experience! My husband and I enjoyed it very much:D
Loved our emerald palace room. We took advantage of the bikes and had a wonderful ride through New Orleans. Quiet neighborhood, would definitely stay again!

I am an artist who travels very often, I tour the world creating art installations and large group projects. Air Bnb is the perfect solution to keeping my home "lived in and loved" while I am in town or away!
When traveling I am usually driving my 40ft school bus converted in to an Art Studio all over the country creating large scale art installations, I studied Sculpture in Washington, DC and now love to call New Orleans; HOME!
