Cozy little cabin in Guerneville, a hate free community in the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country! Enjoy both natural beauty and culinary decadence in the region named #2 wine destination in the world by Tripadvisor in 2012.
This is a modest, clean, functional home with original art throughout. The open floor plan, gas faux-wood burning stove, and hardwood floors give you both the joy of a country cabin and comfort and convenience of uncluttered, fully furnished space.
If the house is not available, or you need more space, check out our other listing which is right across the street: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/4509562
Let me know about any dietary restrictions that you have, I like to leave the kitchen stocked with locally grown and made goodies for your breakfast!
The entire two bedroom, one bathroom home, back Sun deck, and private parking spaces in front of the home.
Interaction with Guests
There is a combination keypad lock, the combo to which I change between guests and send you in advance so that you are able to let yourself in. I am always available via Air BnB text message or phone to answer any questions, as well as help you with any aspect of your stay that you wish. I am sometimes available to check you in personally, upon request. I split my time between Guerneville and San Francisco, so myself or my girlfriend may be staying in the second unit on the property while you are there or we may not. You are ensured privacy and exclusive access to the front unit.
Guerneville is only 15 miles to the coast, and the gorgeous hiking trails of the Sonoma Coast state park and Goat Rock Beach. Armstrong Woods state park which is home to redwood trees over 1,000 years of age is right in Guerneville. There are several Russian River beaches with swimming holes within ten minutes driving from the house.
The town has a thriving and prominent LGBTQ community which is very inclusive of everyone, not just people who are LGBTQ themselves. It makes Guerneville a comfortable and relaxing place to be you, whoever you happen to be. It really is a "hate free community" as our town welcome sign states.
We are very close to the wine trails leading from West Sonoma to Dry Creek and Healdsburg. The house is a beautiful 30 minute drive from two of my favorite tasting rooms, Porter Creek and Iron Horse.
Restaurants in town that we love are the Garden Grill for basic breakfasts or casual BBQ (this is easy 5 min walk from the house) and Boon is consistently delicious. Next to Boon you'll find the Korean-fusion pop-up which makes a great burger and fries! A 30 minute drive down the winding Bohemian highway to the town of Occidental brings you to Howards the absolute best brunch spot around, with delish gluten-free waffles, traditional and locally inspired benedicts, a full menu of healthy juices and smoothies, and more.
Country Dan hosts Karaoke 5 nights a week in town, the crowd at the Triple R is always welcoming and jovial. (website hidden) has his schedule. The famous Rainbow Cattle Company is another very friendly night life environment with a great mix of locals and visitors, pool table, and back patio.
We have a yoga studio, nail salon, and an esoteric new-age learning center in town- what more do you need?!
This home is easy taxi distance to and from town.
There is plenty of private parking at the house.
Sonoma County Airport (STS) is a 30 minute drive on beautiful country roads to and from Guerneville, there are rental cars available at the airport. The airport is small and efficient, with daily flights on Alaska to LAX and SEA/TAC as well as PDX.
Other Things to Note

Most comfortable bed ever!
Irene's place was perfect! My girlfriend, her sister, and myself went there for a weekend getaway and was very clean, roomy, and close enough to walk down to the main strip for breakfast. Irene had great communication and was an excellent host!
Irene's location was beautiful. She left us a few munchies to get our trip started comfortably, her kitchen was well outfitted for easy breakfasts, etc… The beds were comfortable and had warm comforters. The living space was more than enough for my sister and I. We took advantage of the deck out back, and the stove to help us keep warm.
Irene was very easy to communicate with, she had clear expectations and was reachable if needed. Overall, a great place to stay!
Irene was super friendly and very easy to get a hold of. I had a couple questions prior about what features the kitchen had and she responded ASAP.
The home was as expected. Very quiet and comfortable. A great place to stay and I highly recommend.
The place was perfect for us. It was spotless and stocked with all the things we would need for a weekend getaway. The location is very convenient to downtown and we especially enjoyed the cool art. Would highly recommend!
The best welcome for me was the art on the walls and the books on the shelves. This is clearly a thoughtful space. The neighborhood is perfect just "around the corner" (walking distance, though I drove) from downtown Guerneville. I felt very safe, even while walking my dog in the evenings and early mornings.
This is a great cottage. It is nicely appointed, the fireplace is fantastic, and the deck is really nice. It feels bigger than it is due to all the light. We had a great stay. Irene left us a great bottle of Korbel Brut Rose which we devoured upon arrival :). I was able to bring my 2 dogs, and Irene was very accommodating. The linens were clean and fresh. Very cozy place and it was close enough to Jenner and the coast for us to easily explore. I would definitely stay here again! Great place.

Located in San Francisco's Mission District & Sonoma Wine Country and I travel frequently! I love my little place in Guerneville, as well as the town itself, and hope you do too.
