Surrounded by beautiful countryside, our home is steeped in history but boasts all the modern luxuries of 21st century life. The bedrooms and their en-suites are all very spacious with delightful views - either to the south over paddocks and farmland or to the north over the stable-yard towards Hadrian's Wall.
The Pele Tower Room has its own 14th century stone, spiral staircase for those who fancy a walk in the footsteps of our late Middle Age forebears. With a king-size bed and a full size single day bed, this room comfortably sleeps three or even a family of four. Couples find that its spacious features make it a great choice for lengthier stays. The large TV and DVD player, along with plentiful hot drinks and snacks, encourage our guests to linger longer.
The South Room also has a king-size bed, single bed, large TV and a bathroom en-suite - again a great choice for families or couples who want a bit more space. This one can also be used as a twin room or for single occupation.
The Reiver Room has a very comfortable double bed, TV with integral DVD facility and an impressively powerful shower en-suite.
All rooms contain a well stocked hospitality tray / hamper and toiletries. They are furnished with sensitivity and equipped to suit the modern traveller.
This is a family home welcoming families of all shapes and sizes, from the very youngest (thick walls = good soundproofing!). Quality, not quantity, is our aim.
Couples and single travellers delight in the space and facilities on offer.
As well as your own spacious bedroom with its en-suite bath / shower room, there is a very comfortable guest sitting room adjacent to the bedrooms.
Lovely country walks from our doorstep, along marked footpaths. Hadrian' Wall close by and many tourist features within easy reach.
Horses and ponies available for petting and Muffin (our Lhasa Apso) is almost always keen for a cuddle - if you are so inclined! Jemima, the pet sheep, also loves attention.
Carole, John and Olivia are all pleased to get to know those who stay with us but are equally keen to respect the feelings and wishes of visitors who prefer their own space and privacy.
