Explore America’s first registered historic neighborhood from our cheerful guest apartments. Not only is the Armory Park Neighborhood filled with vintage homes such as our circa-1902 adobe, but it’s also conveniently located. Open your mind and leave your car behind: we’re within walking distance of downtown. Or use our complimentary bicycle for a free-spirited ride around Tucson, and to nearby University of Arizona. This is a real neighborhood, too, with relaxed, tree-lined streets. And were just 15 minutes from Tucson International Airport.

Sip a "Tucson Blonde" ale at an off-beat micro-brewery just four blocks away, or surf the Internet--while enjoying a frothy cappuccino--at one of the half-dozen unpretentious coffee houses within walking distance. Use our complimentary bike to make the rounds.

Need tips for uncovering Southern Arizona's hidden charms? We're happy to help, as you enjoy your freedom to roam this distinctive corner of America.

Then there are the apartments. Our comfortable, sunny studios feature fully equipped kitchens, and bathrooms complete with towels and toiletries. The apartments are smartly furnished with modern touches, and securely tucked alongside our home's Southwestern garden. Here you'll find the perfect blend of friendly hosts and shaded privacy.

We designed our studios with visiting academic and traveling professionals in mind—or those simply seeking a bit of soothing, affordable refuge. Relax with our complimentary WiFi, linens, toiletries, cable TV, cold AC and hot, freshly ground gourmet coffee. We also feature complete laundry facilities.

Seasonal rates vary; monthly rates are negotiable.

Check, cash or credit cards are accepted.

No pets or smoking. No bicycles allowed in the apartments. And though we love kids, our studios aren't well-suited to them.

  • Tim and Mary's garden hideaway was absolutely perfect for my fiance and I. The place is super comfortable, tasteful, and definitely makes you feel like your're living at home. We arrived late for check-in, and our hosts made it very easy for us to find the place and get settled in at such a late hour. They even left a packet of things to do in Tucson which we used to find some good food options. We wish we had more time to enjoy the outdoor sitting areas. Would highly recommend a stay in the garden hideaway!

  • Just what I was looking for. The Hideaway was clean, inviting, all the necessities including coffee, great porch options from which to pick, and easy striking distance to downtown. Plus, from a short conversation with Mary she offered a related book of a local author I might enjoy; I ended up binge reading the whole thing in two days. I could tell Tim's curatorial abilities on the area were just as good though I had work to do when I wasn't reading. Will stay here next time if available.

  • The experience at Tim and Mary's wonderful apartment made for a perfect stay in downtown Tucson! Unless you have a very specific need, like a swimming pool or conference room, there is really no reason you would stay at a hotel instead of here. This place is great for a couple. The modern decor, full kitchen, outside sitting area, and ample street parking was as good as it gets. The unit was clean and the bathroom was stocked with fresh toiletries and plenty of clean towels. We only had a chance to meet Tim, but he was so pleasant that we were sure Mary must be a gem as well. The privacy in their gated area made the unit feel especially safe. From the location, it was a pleasant, but spirited, stroll to the heart of downtown Tucson, which is a great area filled with cool restaurants, bars, and shops. We even came across a fantastic clothing store nestled in between all of the beer bars near 4th and Congress called Fed By Threads that had lots of colorful, American-made garments, and they provide meals to local food banks with every item they sell. So we had a wonderful day shopping too! The next time we come back to Tucson, we will definitely stay here again.

  • This great little apartment was immaculate, comfortably furnished, and private. I did not have the opportunity to meet Mary but Tim was a most accommodating host. Little touches like the coffee and half & half were especially nice. It was an easy walk to several restaurants. I traveled alone this time but I have no doubt my wife would also think highly of the accommodations and therefore plan to stay here again on trip to Tucson.

  • We could not have asked for better hosts. We met Tim upon arrival who was both engaging and super respectful. Tim and Mary provided a wonderful, private studio with AC. As well as clean towels, soap and most importantly for us, coffee. The studio was comfortable and the neighborhood felt very safe. The studio is within 6 minutes of all the Tucson curiosities we had. Our only regret is not getting to know Tim and Mary better for the duration of our stay.

  • I can't say enough positive things about our hosts and this place. This is where my partner and I will be staying on our annual Tuson visit!

  • I had a great stay at Mary and Tim's. It was like a home away from home. It was smartly furnished with much appreciated decorative touches. The bed was very comfortable. The TV area had two nice sitting chairs. I enjoyed the TV being adjustable to watch from the chairs or resting on the pillows. The kitchen offered me a great deal of independence to make most of my meals while I travelled. It was thoughtfully appointed. When I thought of something I needed, all I had to do was to look around for a moment, and there was exactly what I needed! Front and back entries allow for nice breezes to flow through the space. Generous towels and toiletry basket in the bathroom, and I was happy as can be. Tim and Mary are thoughtful hosts. They are there if you need them, and otherwise you can feel quite independent in this home away from home. Very safe. Very comfortable. I was traveling solo for this trip, and that means a lot. Two thumbs. Highly recommend.

  • We really enjoyed our stay with Tim and Mary, the cottage had everything you could need and we loved the close proximity to downtown and 4th Avenue. It (email hidden) to bring your bikes as there are so many bike routes in Tucson. The personal touches were what made the difference including the warm and friendly welcome from Tim and the great tasting coffee and cream already in the fridge. Thanks Tim and Mary for sharing your great location.
